In a press conference held today at the One World Observatory at the top of One World Trade Center (the Freedom Tower), Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez, Chairperson of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP), alongside members of the Parade's Board of Directors, announced plans for the 2017 Parade, its 60th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 11.

USA Network Announces Season Two Pick-Up of Hit Drama FALLING WATER

USA Network today announced the second season pickup of FALLING WATER. The drama hails from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd ('The Walking Dead') of Valhalla Entertainment, Blake Masters ('Brotherhood'), the late Henry Bromell ('Homeland'), and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ('28 Weeks Later'). Rémi Aubuchon ('Falling Skies') joins as showrunner. Season 2 of FALLING WATER will premiere on USA later this year.

Aurora Theatre's Teatro Aurora series presents Pais de Bicicleta, from playwright Nilo Cruz (last season's Sotto Voce, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Anna in the Tropics) also part of the celebrated GGC Harvel Lab Series in the intimate Aurora Studio. Audiences will be immersed in the lives of three refugees with a lust for freedom, finally trying to make a successful journey across the sea from Havana to Miami. The play's magical realism comes with whip-fast dialogue that stings with vitality and is stitched with the Latin love of music and dance. The play is performed in Spanish with English supertitles.

Acclaimed box office star, producer and humanitarian Richard Gere will open the 34th edition of Miami Dade College's Miami Film Festival on March 3, 2017, followed by an Opening Night Gala screening of his new film, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, directed by 2-time Oscar-nominated Israeli filmmaker Joseph Cedar, with the KORBEL Opening Night Party to follow at Miami's Historic Alfred I. Dupont Building.

The CHICAGO ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns to The Den Theatre for its seventh year - this time exploring America and Chicago in 2017 in the wake of the Presidential election. The marathon evening of one-minute plays by more than 60 of Chicago's established and emerging playwrights and directors is presented two nights only, Today, February 21 and Wednesday, February 22, 2016 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N.
