Switchyard Theatre Company's second season in the Triangle continues with a diversity-infused twist on a traditional British farce. Noel Coward's 1939 comedy Present Laughter follows egocentric actor Garry Essendine, his quirky entourage and his unhinged followers, through a series of crises as he prepares for a world tour and confronts the reality of impending middle age.

The romantic anthology drama “Cherish the Day,” starring Joy Bryant and Henry Simmons, will air following “Queen Sugar,” now in its final season, making for a Tuesday night of two great television dramas. The first season of “Cherish the Day” ranked #1 in its time period across all of cable with Black women, households, and total viewers.

Terri J. Vaughn will recur as Anastasia, Ellis’ (series star Henry Simmons) soon-to-be ex-wife and the mother of their children.

Actress Joy Bryant, Broadway journo Imogen Lloyd Webber, Broadway press legend Irene Gandy, CBS News commentator Jamal Simmons, and Michel Martin of NPR and PBS fame, joined journalist turned playwright, Keli Goff and others for a virtual opening night screening and zoom toast to celebrate the launch of Goff's play, The Glorious World of Crowns, Kinks and Curls at Baltimore Center Stage (BCS) where it will be streamed through April 18th.

Today, ABC announced premiere dates for its scripted drama series slate, rounding out the network’s fall schedule. Dates for unscripted and comedy series were previously announced.

The season finale of “For Life” grew over the prior week by 17% in Total Viewers (4.1 million vs. 3.5 million) to mark the series' most-watched telecast in 2 months, and by 13% among Adults 18-49 (0.9/5 vs. 0.8/4) to score its highest-rated telecast in 4 weeks – since 3/10/20 and 4/14/20, respectively.
