New England Conservatory has announced the winter-spring 2022 series of master classes and residencies by world-class artists.

Just days before the COVID-19 lockdown shuttered theatres and businesses worldwide, Joshua Bell & The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields took to the stage in what would be The Soraya's final live performance for the next 18 months.  

Chamber Music Northwest brings expert pianist Jeremy Denk to Portland February 10 for Bach's Journey of Wonder, the fourth concert of the 2021/22 season. The concert program is Book 1 of Bach's legendary The Well-Tempered Clavier. The live concert will be held at The Old Church Concert Hall on Thursday, February 10 at 7:30 pm.

The Chamber Music Society of Williamsburg presents the Escher Quartet on Tuesday evening, February 1, 2022, at 8:00 PM in the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre. Inspired by the works of Dutch artist M.C. Escher, the Quartet focuses on the interplay of individual components working together to produce expressive, nuanced performances that combine unusual textural clarity with a rich, blended sound.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Harlem Quartet with Cuban pianist/composer Aldo López-Gavilán, offering an incomparable experience on Saturday, January 22, 2022, 7:30 pm, in The Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater.

The American Classical Orchestra returns to the historic Harlem Parish, the stunning location of its highly-praised 2020 digital production of The Chaconne Project, for an intimate, creatively staged live performance of the program.

On Friday, February 4, 2022, GRAMMY Award-winning Catalyst Quartet will release UNCOVERED Volume 2: Florence B. Price on Azica Records. The album is the second issue of a multi-volume anthology highlighting string quartet works by historically important Black composers which aims to bring greater awareness and programming of their music.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced that Phillip Bergmann has been named Artistic Advisor for Classical Music at Palm Beach County's largest not-for-profit performing arts center. This includes the popular Regional Arts Classical Concert Series that started its 47th season last week, and the Young Artists Series, which presents its first concert of the season this week.

Described by the UK's Daily Telegraph as one of the Top Ten Music Festivals, the Riga Jurmala Music Festival 2022 comprises four weekends each presenting a major international orchestra: the Mariinsky Orchestra with Valery Gergiev; the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra with Michael Tilson Thomas, the Mariss Jansons Festival Orchestra with Klaus Mäkelä and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Manfred Honeck.

The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra announced  today that it will launch a new Youth Ensemble, serving musicians around the ages of 8–16, starting in February 2022 at First Baptist Church-West. Led by Eric Thompson, the Charlotte  Symphony Youth Ensemble will introduce young musicians to the experience of performing  within an ensemble while receiving personalized training from CSO conducting staff and  musicians at each rehearsal. 

The Sun Valley Music Festival announces that violinist Jennifer Koh will curate the Festival's 2022 Winter Season, which will be held from February 24-26 at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum, within the world-renowned ski destination area of Sun Valley, Idaho.

Bharatanatyam choreographers Ranee Ramaswamy and Aparna Ramaswamy's Fires of Varanasi: Dance of the Eternal Pilgrim evokes an elaborate ritual where time is suspended and humans merge with the divine. Through images that reflect the cosmic trinity of Varanasi, India - sacred pilgrimage routes, the Ganges River, and the patron deity Shiva, heightened by the chants of Vedic priests - the choreographers imagine a metaphorical crossing place where one may leave the mundane and enter into the world of immortality.
