THE OLD GLOBE Announces its Participation in PLAY AT HOME: SHORT PLAYS TO BE ENJOYED AT HOME

Late last month, a small group of regional and not-for-profit theatres, all committed to finding ways to keep people connected to live theatre, came together by phone and email and Zoom to create the Play At Home project, a series of short plays commissioned specifically for this moment of unprecedented isolation to inspire joy and connection for all.

Harriet Harris Will Appear On 'State Of The Arts' Tomorrow

Tony winner Harriet Harris, currently starring as Margaret Chase Smith in Joe DiPietro's CONSCIENCE, will be this week's special guest on the popular radio talk show 'State of the Arts,' on WPKN (89.5 FM) tomorrow (Friday) at 12:25 PM. Two-time Tony winner Joe DiPietro's newest play opened March 6th to critical acclaim at George Street Playhouse's new home at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.

MOULIN ROUGE!, HADESTOWN, and More Set For Denver Center for the Performing Arts' 2020/21 Broadway Season

Denver Center for the Performing Arts' Broadway & Cabaret announce the 2020/21 season subscription shows and added attractions. On the full subscription, joining the previously announced To Kill a Mockingbird, is: 1776; Ain't Too Proud a?' The Life and Times of The Temptations; The Other Josh Cohen, produced by DCPA Cabaret; Tootsie; the Tony & Grammy Award-winning Hadestown; Pretty Woman: The Musical; and the highly anticipated, Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

Performances Begin Tonight For CONSCIENCE at George Street Playhouse

Two-time Tony winner Joe DiPietro's newest play CONSCIENCE is set to begin performances tonight (Tuesday) at George Street Playhouse's new home at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. CONSCIENCE stars Broadway favorite and Tony winner Harriet Harris as Margaret Chase Smith, the influential senator who said no to Joseph McCarthy. The official Opening Night is this Friday evening, March 6th.

Over the last 50 years, French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts has become famous for its summer programs in music, theater, dance and the performing arts.  The bedrock of the program is an all-encompassing schedule of  80 theater productions, including shows that are fresh off Broadway, along with other favorites, classics, and forgotten jewels from the last century of musical theater. On top of that, Broadway stars, professional musicians, conductors, composers and playwrights as well as members of internationally recognized orchestras will visit French Woods during the summer and offer their mastery as coaches to the campers. Additionally, the instrumental program collaborates with the theater program with the use of live full orchestrations for the musicals. This raises the quality of the performance as well as the experience for performers and their audiences.

ACT Of Connecticut Announces The World Premiere Of NICKEL MINES

ACT (A Contemporary Theatre) of Connecticut is thrilled to announce the world premiere of the new musical NICKEL MINES. Through a combination of spoken dialogue, dance, and a powerful original score, NICKEL MINES explores the 2006 Amish schoolhouse shooting that happened in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. ACT of CT is the first professional equity theatre to premiere this fascinating, elegant and moving new musical.

Feinstein's/54 Below Will Present JANE & TUCKER: STRIPPED For One Performance Only

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present JANE BRUCE and TUCKER in JANE & TUCKER: STRIPPED for one performance only: Monday April 27 at 9:30PM. The two singer-songwriters -- who first met at the 2019 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project -- team up for this unique evening, representing a culmination of collaboration, snatched between Broadway performances, TV tapings, and recording sessions. This world premiere -- scheduled on JANE's one night off from the hit Broadway production of Jagged Little Pill -- features spectacular original songs and re-interpretations of the duo's favorite tunes.

BWW Review: MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at The John W. Engeman Theatre

Now in the middle of their spectacular fourteenth season, the John W. Engeman Theatre continues to dazzle with an excellent rendition of Million Dollar Quartet. It is a dramatization of a real jam session between Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The Engeman's terrific incarnation of the jukebox musical by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott runs through March 1st at the exquisite Northport venue.

BROADWAY VACATION, THE MUSICAL Will Premiere at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in Fall 2020

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced that it will begin its 2020/21 Season with the world premiere of Broadway Vacation, The Musical, produced in association with Ken Davenport. Broadway Vacation features a book, music, and lyrics by writers and performers David Rossmer and Steve Rosen (The Other Josh Cohen) and direction and choreography by Donna Feore. Playing Fall 2020, Broadway Vacation marks the 24th new musical to be produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre.

Mamie Parris, Andrew Kober, Alex Finke and More Will Star in UNMASKED at Paper Mill Playhouse

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Michael Stotts- Managing Director), recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award, begins the new year with the world premiere Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and written with Richard Curtis. Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber begins performances Thursday, January 30, 2020, and will continue through Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ). MasterVoices to Perform New York Premiere of Jeremy Schonfeld's Rock-Opera IRON & COAL

MasterVoices, led by Artistic Director Ted Sperling, continues its 2019-20 season on January 10 and 11 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice with the New York premiere of Iron & Coal, Jeremy Schonfeld's multimedia rock-opera about his family's experience in the Holocaust and its aftermath. Along with MasterVoices, joining Schonfeld onstage will be distinguished theater artist Rinde Eckert, tenor Daniel Rowan, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, and the New York-based contemporary music ensemble, Contemporaneous.
