This December, Astoria Performing Arts Center will bring the magic of Coney Island to Queens. For two performances only, Luna Park: A New Musical will bring audiences back to 1903 Brooklyn when the lights of the world's most iconic amusement park went on for the very first time.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) will transfer Heidi Schreck's What the Constitution Means to Me to the Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street) at the end of this month, extending its limited run to the end of the year. This immediate transfer, unprecedented in NYTW's history, is in response to the enormous and overwhelming response to Heidi Schreck's timely and powerful creation. Performed by two-time Obie Award winner Schreck (Grand Concourse, "I Love Dick") and directed by Obie Award winner Oliver Butler (The Amateurs, The Light Years), What the Constitution Means to Me began previews on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, and opened Sunday, September 30 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street).

Ben Lockwood, Rupert Henderson and Oliver Kaderbhai today announce the full cast for the hit Off-Broadway musical Striking 12 from Tony Award-winning Rachel Sheinkin and musical duo Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda. Oliver Kaderbhai directs Declan Bennett (Brendan), Bronte Barbe (The Match Girl), Danielle Kassarate (Narrator), with Kate Robson-Stuart and Leon Scott completing the cast. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl, Striking 12 will open at the Union Theatre on 3 December, with previews from 28 November and runs until 23 December.

This season, Harvey Fierstein's seminal Broadway classic, Torch Song has made its way back to Broadway 36 years after its original run, in a brand-new production.

Jonathan Larson wrote RENT and tick tick BOOM, the former a landmark Broadway game-changer and the latter a beloved musical gem. Following three sold-out shows in the 2017-18 season, Theatreworks USA's "Pete the Cat" is back. Based on the popular books by James Dean and Eric Litwin, this family-friendly musical comes to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. This hour-long play is recommended for ages 3 and up.

Back by Popular Demand! Singer Lynn Henderson returns to Don't Tell Mama this fall with A Skitch in Time: My Friendship with Maestro Skitch Henderson, a tribute to her friend, the New York Pops founder who built the Pops from an idea to a beloved international institution.

Cast members of The Apple Boys: A Barbershop Quartet Musical are scheduled to make several high-profile appearances on October 31 as part of New York City's 45th Annual Village Halloween Parade. At 9:30 AM, The Apple Boys will appear on Fox 5 TV's 'Good Day New York,' singing an original song. At 7:45 PM, The Apple Boys will perform outside the landmarked Jefferson Market Library as Basil Twists' iconic 14-foot spider descends the clocktower.

FOX is announcing premiere dates for THE ORVILLE (Dec. 30), GORDON RAMSAY'S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK (Jan. 2), GOTHAM (Jan. 3) and PROVEN INNOCENT (Feb. 15), as well as the all-new COSMOS installment, COSMOS: POSSIBLE WORLDS (March 3). As previously announced, new celebrity singing competition THE MASKED SINGER will premiere Jan. 2, new epic thriller THE PASSAGE will premiere Jan. 14 and all-new live musical event RENT will air Jan. 27.

The Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Program presents its December thesis show, tick, tick…BOOM!, directed and choreographed by Ken-Matt Martin, a third year student in the Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Directing program. Written by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent, this rock musical set in 1990 New York City tells the story of an aspiring theater composer, as he is forced to reevaluate his passions and decide whether he should keep pursuing his dream or give it all up for a stable career. Performances run November 29 through December 9 at the Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire St., Downtown Providence. The Highlander Theatre Company, the resident theatre company of Somerville High School, is thrilled to announce its 2018-2019 theatre season. This year's productions comprise the inaugural season of the new organization, established last year to expand theatre opportunities for students at Somerville High. The season will consist of four productions that reflect the creativity, talent, and diversity of the Somerville High School community.

City Theatre is excited to welcome the musical theater writing team of Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond back to Pittsburgh for A Holiday Homecoming. The pair met while studying at Carnegie Mellon and the cabaret marks their City Theatre debut. Fresh off the success of their work on the Disney Channel's VAMPIRINA, the duo will host a two night only event on the theater's main stage showcasing music from their award winning works including Dani Girl and Romantics Anonymous with a few holiday favorites sprinkled in. Music directed by Nick Stamatakis, A Holiday Homecoming will run on the City Theatre Main Stage, November 30 and December 1. Tickets are on sale now. 

MAX VERNON - the songwriter described by The New Yorker as "equal parts Bohemia and Broadway" - will continue his first ever residency at Joe's Pub, Existential Life Crisis Lullaby, with an all-new show on Tuesday, November 27 at 7:00 PM after two sold-out shows earlier this fall.

An industry reading of Far From Canterbury will be held today, October 18th at 3 PM and Friday, October 19th at 11 AM in New York City. Far From Canterbury is a new musical with Book, Music, and Lyrics by Danny K Bernstein.

Lola Maltz returns to The Duplex Cabaret Theatre with her one-woman musical MY MOM IS A SEX THERAPIST. Drawing from her real-life journey growing up as the daughter of a sex therapist, Lola plays multiple characters, including her Mom, a sexually voracious alter ego, and the full cast of a lesbian safe-sex PSA. In a show that Bistro Awards called 'hilarious,' this 'stellar performer' shows how she grew into the daring woman that she is today.

Broadway and Television veteran Edward Hibbert stopped by to visit the cast of the Off-Broadway acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions. Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast features Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J. Peterson.
