MY MOM IS A SEX THERAPIST Returns To The Duplex, 11/16

Lola Maltz returns to The Duplex Cabaret Theatre with her one-woman musical MY MOM IS A SEX THERAPIST. Drawing from her real-life journey growing up as the daughter of a sex therapist, Lola plays multiple characters, including her Mom, a sexually voracious alter ego, and the full cast of a lesbian safe-sex PSA. In a show that Bistro Awards called "hilarious," this "stellar performer" shows how she grew into the daring woman that she is today.

Revamped and revised with an original score by award-winning songwriter Joshua H. Cohen and direction and choreography by Michael Raine, MY MOM IS A SEX THERAPIST features Garrit Guadan at the piano leading a three-piece band.

MY MOM IS A SEX THERAPIST will be performed at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street on the corner of 7th Avenue, on Friday, November 16, at 9:30 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door (plus service fee), with a 2-drink minimum in the Cabaret Theatre. For tickets and more information, visit

Lola hopes you'll take at least one thing away from this show, and that is... to love yourself!

Cohen (Music & Lyrics) is pleased to return to The Duplex, where his cabarets SPEAKING FOR MYSELF and TRUE STORY played, and where his MAC-nominated song "The Sacrifice of Love" (a.k.a. the waxing song) premiered.
