Feinstein's at Vitello's has announced a new monthly series featuring a diverse array of new musicals in concert in the heart of Studio City. Each month will showcase the work of one writer or writing team, or present a new musical in concert!

On Monday, September 9th, 2019 Feinstein's at Vitello's will kick off a brand new concert series: Feinstein's Presents mostly NEW musicals, with LA's own award-winning Gregory Nabours! Mostly NEW musicals will showcase the most exciting new musical theatre writers and composers from across the country in the heart of Studio City, Feinstein's at Vitello's! Co-produced and curated by amy francis schott, producer of the long-running cabaret series (mostly)musicals, each event will present a new musical in concert, or explore the work of one writer or writing team!

Broadway's next generation comes to LA in A Little New Music's 20th concert of new musical theatre songs in The Sorting Room's 2019 Summer Series at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on June 26th at 7:00 pm. Kathy Deitch (B'way WICKED, FOOTLOOSE) will host. Multiple LA Ovation Award-winning composer Gregory Nabours (THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS, MARILYN! Creator, Director and Executive Producer Michael Sterling, along with Co-Executive Producer Barbara Van Orden and Associate Producer Peter Welkin have announced that auditions for LA's Next Great Stage Star 2019 Presented by Princess Cruises will take place Saturday, April 20th and Saturday April 27th between 11am and 6 :00 pm in North Hollywood, CA at Madilyn Clark Studios. The critically acclaimed Broadway Musical Theatre competition will be presented as a series of six 1:00 pm Sunday matinees at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood's NoHo Arts District beginning May 26th and continuing through June 2nd, June 9th, June 16th, and June 23rd, ending with the Grand Finale on June 30th, thus marking the event's 13th consecutive anniversary year.

By popular demand Rockwell Table & Stage has extended the run of the 'Unauthorized Musical Parody of Stranger Things' now set for 4 days a week in February and Thursday and Friday for the first three weeks of March at Rockwell with new cast addition of the incomparable talent of Carrie Manolakos joining the ensemble.

Musical theatre writer/performer, Brett Ryback (Passing Through, Murder for Two) has teamed with former Nickelodeon songwriters Matt Sav and Jeff Luppino-Esposito to develop a narrative musical podcast titled In Strange Woods, to be released later this year.

Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, the Jewish Community Foundation and 3G@LAMOTH present an exclusive first look at the new musical 'Irena Sendler: A Musical,' the inspiring yet little-known story of Polish social worker Irena Sendler, today, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at Temple Emanuel. Proceeds benefit Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
