Savannah Rep's 2023 mainstage season will open with the Broadway sensation ONCE, with music by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, and a book by Enda Walsh.

Lucas Hnath's The Christians brings to Savannah Rep the deeply theatrical story of Pastor Paul, whose church was nothing more than a modest storefront twenty years ago. Now he presides over a congregation of thousands. Today should be a day of celebration. But Paul is about to preach a sermon that will shake the foundations of his church's belief. This is a wholly original play about faith in America - and the trouble with changing your mind.

Savannah Repertory Theatre announced that its upcoming production of Lucas Hnath's The Christians in partnership with Asbury Memorial Theatre will be led by Nathan Houseman in the role of Pastor Paul, who has built his church from a modest storefront to a congregation of thousands and is about to preach a sermon that will shake the foundations of his church's beliefs.

The Off-Broadway show, Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, which opened on July 4, will end its current run on July 24 and plans to resume performances this fall.

Broadway Records announced today that the Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, will be released on CD and digitally on Tuesday, May 5th. Following its successful Off-Broadway run at New York City's Theatre 80 in the Fall of 2014, LIBERTY: A MONUMENTAL NEW MUSICAL kicked off a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo for their cast recording. Early in 2015 the cast of LIBERTY and its writers went into the studio at John Kilgore Sound & Recording to make a cast album.
