Dance Collective Nora Presents The World Premiere of New Film NORA THE MANY This September

Dance collective Nora returns to the Lilian Baylis Studio with the world premiere of Nora The Many on Thursday 29 & Friday 30 September. This latest creation is a women-led film exploring the intricacies of movement and Nora's first project with choreographer Eleanor Bauer and musician Zeena Parkins.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.

A few thick black ink strokes describe an enigmatic landscape – the telephone poles, the railroad track and the building in the distance seem obvious enough as markers of desolation, but the swirl of lines on the horizon are more ambiguous. The steam from an approaching train? An oncoming tornado? Hope or dread, connection or destruction, all depend on interpretation.
