Caramoor Features ETHEL, 2 FOOT YARD, O'RILEY for Music Fest, Opens 7/2

The line-up for the 65th Caramoor International Music Festival features Genre-defying ensemble 2 Foot Yard opening the series on July 2, followed by ETHEL, one of America's premier post-classical string quartets, on July 9. The series concludes with Christopher O'Riley, a dynamic pianist and host of NPR's From the Top, in a July 30 program entitled 'Out of My Hands'. Tickets for each Extreme Chamber Music concert are $25 and $35 and may be purchased at the Caramoor Box Office, 914.232.1252 or ordered online at www.caramoor.org. Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is located at 149 Girdle Ridge Road in Katonah, New York.

Jewish Museum Kicks Off SUMMERNIGHTS on July 1

The Jewish Museum's SummerNights program returns, presenting live world music in a concert setting on three Thursdays in July. Margot Leverett and the Klezmer Mountain Boys kick off SummerNights on July 1 followed by Ansambl Mastika on July 8, and The Sexteto Rodriguez Cuban-Jewish All Stars on July 15. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street, Manhattan. Each concert begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets for each concert are $15 for the general public; $12 for students and seniors; and $10 for Jewish Museum members. Gordon's SYCAMORE TREES at Signature Closes 6/13

Previews will begin today at Virginia's Signature Theatre for the world premiere musical Sycamore Trees written by Ricky Ian Gordon, the award-winning composer of the opera The Grapes of Wrath and the musicals Dream True and My Life with Albertine. A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.

Jacob's Pillow Announces 2010 Season

Jacob's Pillow announces its 2010 full season calendar, including more than 200 free performances, talks, photography exhibits, tours, and events. Free event highlights include the Blake's Barn exhibit Lois Greenfield: Imagined Moments, featuring Greenfield's signature dance photography, and 'Let's Dance!' a new community event on July 4 with free dance classes and workshops for teens and adults. PillowTalks, held Thursdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 4pm, include Virginia Johnson, recently named Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem (June 24), choreographer/director Bill T. Jones (July 22), and the return of Pulitzer Prize winner Jules Feiffer (July 31).
