MTV today announced a second season pick-up of its hit new series 'BUCKWILD.'

I've been writing for Houston's BroadwayWorld page for a brief 8 ½ months now, and one thing that I quickly learned and came to love about Houston is that there is always a wide selection of venues and titles to choose from. This past Saturday, I ventured from my residence in a Southeast suburb of the city to Playhouse 1960 for the very first time to see their production of I'M NOT RAPPAPORT. The aesthetically well-designed and beautiful performance space is nestled near FM 1960 and US 290, and the company provides audiences with a production of the Tony Award-winning comedy that leaves audiences with plenty to talk about it.

Playhouse 1960 Theatre will launch its 40th season with the Tony Award-winning comedy by Herb Gardner, I'm Not Rappaport, directed by Christine Weems. The production will run January 25th - February 9th, 2013. Get a first look at the show in the photos below!

Spike has once again turned the tables on the reality show genre with THE JOE SCHMO SHOW. The one-hour, 10-episode series features one real guy who believes he is on a new, over-the-top reality show looking for America's next bounty hunter, but in reality is actually surrounded entirely by actors.

MTV's 'BUCKWILD' is a new series that follows a group of nine young, carefree and adventurous friends who find unique ways to create their own fun. The half-hour, 12-episode series premieres on Thursday, January 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back new episodes.

Spike TV has ordered 10-episodes of a new, one-hour original series TATTOO RESCUE. The show follows renowned tattoo expert Joey Germinario (aka 'Joey Tattoo') and his team of experts as they travel the country transforming failing tattoo studios into profitable ventures.

Toronto's TOMÉ Dress Salon is known for their whimsical and creative windows displays. This same creative spirit will feature a fresh crop of young models developed and marketed by Doug Sloan and John Stevens of Talent INC Canada at their premiere event to be held in Toronto this November.

Theatre Southwest is currently presenting THE OLDEST PROFESSION by Paula Vogel, who is known for her decidedly strong, controversial works like HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE that examines incest and THE BALTIMORE WALTZ that is about AIDS. In THE OLDEST PROFESSION, she gives audiences a chance to see a softer side of her writing, using prostitution as a way to explore the community of sisterhood while weaving in dated but humorous political zingers (i.e. "This is America where any girl can start in the alley and wind up a madam!") disparaging the economic boom and decline that began with President Reagan's 80s. In the end, this show is really about the passing of businesses, clients, and our close friends and how we deal with that loss as a community.

Performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, with a Sunday matinee on October 21 at 2:00 pm, plus a weeknight show on Thursday, October 25, at 7:30 pm.
