New York City's famed Doug Varone and Dancers will perform Lux in 2017 Victory Dance, presented by The New 42nd Street and The New Victory Theater, on Thursdays, July 13 & 20, 2017 at 7pm at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 West 42nd Street). 

On June 15 Jonah Bokaer Choreography will be presenting OCCUPANT and Study For Occupant for their Hudson Premiere. This will be Jonah's third performance run at Melissa Auf Der Maur's Basilica Hudson: OCCUPANT is a trio for three dancers performed by Tal Adler-Arieli, Sara Procopio, Betti Rollo), preceded by a Jonah Bokaer solo, Study For Occupant, both with scenic collaborations with Daniel Arsham. Minimal and mesmerizing, these works were inspired by the Edward Albee play of the same name. OCCUPANT, has been presented worldwide including The Fabric Workshop & Museum in Philadelphia; The Spoleto Festival in Italy; The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami; and the Monodramas Festival of Luxembourg. Multimedia collaborators for this work include scenographer Arsham, sound designer Jesse Stiles, dramaturg Gavin Kroeber, and composer Ryoji Ikeda (Dataplex).

Just yesterday, the New York Drama Critics' Circle gathered to honor their 2017 award winners at Feinstein's/54 Below- Best Play: Oslo and Best Musical: The Band's Visit. The award for best play carries a cash prize of $2,500. The prize is made possible by a grant from the Lucille Lortel Foundation.

Queer|Art has announced the new Mentors for the 2017-2018 program cycle of Queer|Art|Mentorship. Applications open June 1st.

The Orchestra of the League of Composers, Louis Karchin, Music Director, and David Fulmer, conductor, will present works by Clement, Bielewa, Lerdahl and Part on Thursday, May 25 at 7:30 PM at Miller Theatre at Columbia University, 2960 Broadway, New York, NY.

New York City's famed Doug Varone and Dancers will offer Summer Workshop 2017, an immersive, three-week workshop for pre-professional and professional dancers, at Purchase College, June 4 - 23, 2017.

A world-class summer immersion bringing together Strictly Seattle summer dance intensive and the International Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation (SFDI). Maximum Velocity is the premiere west coast summer dance festival.

The winners of the 2017 New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards will be announced Monday, May 8, 2017 at approximately 5:30pm. The selections will be made at the organization's 82nd annual voting meeting.

The UCSB Department of Theater and Dance will present New Works Lab at the Performing Arts Theater. The production is split into two programs, each with two original UCSB student-written plays. Program A will be presented May 11, 19, 20 at 8 PM, and May 13, 21 at 2 PM. Program B will be presented May 12, 13, 18, and 20 at 8 PM.

A unique program celebrating its fourth year, the entire scope of the mentorship is divided into three distinct parts over the course of several months.
