The Growing Stage - The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, New Jersey presents its 2018 - 2019 Main Stage Season

The journey takes us to a small southern town, 1945. More precisely, to the kitchen and adjacent back yard of the Addams family on the eve of a wedding. The action plays out over a few days in late August and tells the story of 12-year-old tomboy Frankie. Frankie's mother died when she was born, and her father is distant. Her closest companions are the family's African American maid, Berenice Sadie Brown, and her six-year-old cousin, John Henry West. She is awkward, has no friends, and dreams of going away with her brother and his bride-to-be.

 Strawdog Theatre Company is pleased to announce casting for its world premiere of MASQUE MACABRE, a dark and bloody thrill ride inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe - think Carrie meets Eyes Wide Shut. The handlers of a 'bad boy' entrepreneur go to extremes to give him one last big bash before his past catches up to him. An explorative immersive theatre experience a la Sleep No More, guests travel from room to room throughout the space and follow stories of revenge and murder as they play out in real time.

No matter how careful you are." International City Theatre presents The Glass Menagerie, the iconic American classic that launched the career of playwright Tennessee Williams. John Henry Davis (ICT productions of A Walk in the Woods, End of the Rainbow, Trying) directs William's most personal work, opening Aug. 24 atInternational City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. On Monday, June 25, Oxygen will debut 'In Defense Of', a headline-grabbing, psychologically thrilling crime series that explores the complex relationships between notorious criminals and the defense attorneys who represented them during their infamous trials.

According to Deadline, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges and Terry Crews have been cast in the forthcoming thriller drama JOHN HENRY. Jamila Velazquez, Ken Foree, Tyler Alvarez, and JJ Soria are also set to star. Read more about the casting news from Deadline here!

Strawdog Theatre Company and Artistic Directors Michael Dailey, Heath Hays and Anderson Lawfer are proud to announce the company's 31st Season, "Bravery."  The 2018 - 2019 season includes: Masque Macabre, October 4 - 31, a world premiere immersive theatrical experience based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe, adapted by ensemble members Aly Greaves Amidei, John Henry Roberts and company member Cara Beth Heath; The Revolutionists, November 15 - December 29, by Lauren Gunderson, which explores the role of artist during the French Revolution; Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Jacob Combs and Michael Dailey, December 1 - January 5, 2019, an original musical adaptation of Eric Kimmel's Caldecott Award-winning children's book; and Take Me, a world premiere musical by Mark Guarino and Jon Langford of The Mekons and The Waco Brothers, May 10 - June 22, 2019.
