Playhouse Square shines brightly today thanks to the dedication and foresight of individuals who saw the theaters as both a symbol of Cleveland's past and an inspiration for the future. To honor their efforts and further its not-for-profit mission, in 2014 Playhouse Square began to pursue its largest philanthropic effort, the $100 million Advancing the Legacy Campaign.

Scripps Ranch Theatre wraps up its 40th Anniversary Season with Move Over, Mrs. Markham - previewing May 31st and running through June 30th on the campus of Alliant International University. Performances are Fridays and Saturday at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm.

Cultivating a new show at the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) is always an exciting, enriching process. The current production of Johnny Appleseed, from seed to blossom, has proven to be extra sweet and delicious. What does it take to put on a high school musical? Once the director chooses a show, students audition for parts. Casting is announced and then a flurry of activity begins - rehearsing, building sets, preparing and fitting costumes, setting lights, checking microphones and selling tickets. This happens at high schools across Northeast Ohio as students play their roles on stage, backstage or in the orchestra pit.

Milwaukee Ballet broke ground on the new Baumgartner Center for Dance this afternoon in a formal ceremony on the site of the future two-story, 52,000 square foot facility at 132 N. Jackson St. During the ceremony, Milwaukee Ballet announced the capital campaign that is underway to create this new physical space and to provide program funds to empower the world-class artistry and operations of Milwaukee Ballet.
