Storm Large has been making a name for herself from tours with Pink Martini to performances at Carnegie Hall, but it is with her loyal and fearless band, Le Bonheur, that she has been grabbing audiences by the lapels and refusing to let go. Robert Wagner, the handsome and debonair actor and one of the most popular and successful stars in the entertainment industry, has been named to be the recipient of the Gold Coast International Film Festival's second annual Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award. Regina Gil, founder and executive director of the Gold Coast Arts Center and its Gold Coast International Film Festival, announced the selection along with members of an advisory board that included such noted celebrities as Joel Grey, Larry King, Richard Thomas, Edwina Sandys, Mrs. Anthony Katherine Quinn, Tippi Hedren, Greg Mullavey, Carole Shelley, Angie Dickinson, Diane Baker, Stefanie Powers and Constance Towers Gavin.

With a shocking book by Joe Masteroff and a tuneful score by 'Chicago's' John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, 'Cabaret' was alarming when it first premiered and gained momentum in recent years with three major revivals on Broadway. The Gateway's effervescent cast, lead by upcoming Broadway star Josh Canfield, makes this 'Cabaret' an old chum to revisit.

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof has become one of the hottest tickets of the summer, with its run at the Museum of Jewish Heritage just extended through October 25th. But the tradition might endure beyond October...

"It's kind of like I'm playing my grandparents,' said Hoffman, one of the cast members who learned Yiddish for this singular production.

Due to critical acclaim and an entirely sold-out summer run the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) has announced a fall extension with a new block of tickets for the American Premiere of the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof. Originally announced to play through August 26th, the Yiddish language Fiddler on the Roof that opened on July 15th, will now play through October 25th. The production will continue its run at the Museum of Jewish Heritage with an updated performance schedule that includes Saturday evening performances,

Following a well-received Sarasota Festival of New Plays this past spring, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces an addition to its New Play Development program. Three new works will be staged throughout the month of August featuring some of the latest work by George Brant, Barry Harman and Keith Herrmann, and Sandy Rustin. "Good comedies with exciting stories are hard to find and we have found three well-crafted tales from various eras, points of view, and comedic angles," shared FST Associate Artist Catherine Randazzo. Talkbacks will follow each reading, giving audiences the chance to engage with each piece more deeply, while also giving playwrights valuable feedback. These readings are free and open to the public, though reservations are required.
