Adam Feldman, president of the New York Drama Critics' Circle (NYDCC), announced today that the Circle will meet at the offices of Time Out New York magazine on Monday, May 7, to select the winners of the 71st annual New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards, which will be announced at approximately 7pm, immediately following the meeting.
Zoe Lister-Jones will return to the role of Ellen, which she created in the original off-Broadway production of The Little Dog Laughed, for the comedy's final two weeks of its Broadway run. Ms. Lister-Jones will begin performances on Tuesday, February 6. Ari Graynor, who has played the role for the show's Broadway engagement, will be away from the production for a previously scheduled commitment during those two weeks.
Douglas Carter Beane's new play The Little Dog Laughed will close following the matinee performance on Sunday, February 18. The acclaimed Broadway comedy, which is currently the only new American play to have opened on Broadway this season, features Tom Everett Scott, Julie White, Johnny Galecki, and Ari Graynor.
