The Times Square Alliance unveiled today the first holiday “Show Globes” in Times Square on the Broadway Plaza between 44th and 45th Streets. The event included remarks by the Alliance President, Tim Tompkins as well as representatives from each of the four Broadway shows. “Show Globes” will be on display in Times Square through December 26, 2019.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at the national touring company of the critically acclaimed, award-winning THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL. THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL is currently playing at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, and will next travel to the Overture Center in Madison, WI prior to engagements in Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and more.

The new musical, ANASTASIA, opens tonight on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), produced by Stage Entertainment, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky), Tom Kirdahy (It's Only A Play, The Visit) and Hunter Arnold (Kinky Boots, Spring Awakening). The company is led by Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Ramin Karimloo, Caroline O'Connor and Mary Beth Peil.

Just announced, the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical Anastasia will be released by Broadway Records. 

Following previews last week, The New Group just announced that SWEET CHARITY has been extended again through January 8! This is now the third time the show has been extended.
