Leading British East Asian theatre company Yellow Earth Theatre and woman's theatre company Sphinx Theatre today announced that Joanne Lau has been selected as one of the fifteen playwrights chosen for the Sphinx 30 programme, a writing programme designed for female playwrights in the UK marking Sphinx's 30th anniversary.

In this show, some of the original Korean cast of RENT appeared in the show as cameos and a total of 47 actors came out after the curtain call to introduce themselves and to sing a specially arranged version of 'Seasons of Love'.

The Barn Theatre has announced their next two virtual musical theatre concerts celebrating the music of the award-winning musical theatre writing team Amies & Clements (Stephanie Jayne Amies and Teddy Clements) and musical theatre playwright, lyricist and director Annabel Mutale Reed.

 Dragons in the Crease, a play which premiered last year at New York Theater Festival's Summerfest 2019, will be presented by The Theater Project at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, June 30, online via Zoom, as part of The New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Stages Online.  Based on a real event, the play concerns a college student with a severe stutter who has been asked by his professor not to speak in class but instead write his questions down. Because of the media coverage that ensues, the incident becomes a national news story, changing both their lives forever.
