Celebrating its third annual festival, Jump On the DanceWagon (J/DW) returns to the Ailey Citigroup Theatre with world premiere works by up-and-coming female choreographers. Presenting a unique opportunity for contemporary artists to share the stage on a transparent and financially feasible platform, Jump on the DanceWagon is proud to showcase six 20-minute pieces by a group of promising young women -- Nicole Buggé (Buggé Ballet), Alexandra Pobiedzinski (danceETHOS), Jackie Kokolus (danceETHOS), Morgan Chambers (danceETHOS), Megan Mizanty (MizantyMoves Dance Works), and Jessie Tomanek (JT Lotus Dance Company).

Carnegie Hall today announced that Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of Carnegie Hall's Board of Trustees since 1991, will retire from this post after 24 remarkable years of service and a total of 32 years as a Carnegie Hall trustee. Mr. Weill will continue to serve as a member of Carnegie Hall's board, transitioning to a new role as President, a title formerly held by the late violinist Isaac Stern. Mr. Weill is only the second person to hold the title of President since Carnegie Hall was established as a non-profit in 1960.

Gloria McLean, a New York-based dancer, choreographer and teacher, is the founder and artistic director of LIFEDANCE/Gloria McLean and Dancers. From 1982-1993, Ms. McLean was a member of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company, performing in New York, the U.S., and internationally. She is considered one of the leading exponents of this American Modern Dance tradition.

Weill. The unprecedented gift, led by the generosity of Sanford I. Weill, inaugurates the Campaign for Ailey's Future to support the expansion of Ailey's building and the extension of Ailey's artistic and educational initiatives.

She told NYT: "The institutions you support are like your children. You have to know when to step back and let them be independent of you. I look forward to seeing Ailey continue to do great things.
