Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, beloved as one of the world's most popular dance companies, will return to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts with four different programs for a 15-performance engagement at the David H. Koch Theater June 11 - 22, 2014.

Brooklyn based JKing Dance Company (JKDC) will be presenting 'RelinQuish' --'LISTEn' and 'Com•part•men•tal•Eyes' ~ section A and B, at The Ailey Citigroup Theater / Joan Weill Center for Dance in Manhattan tonight, May 3.

Brooklyn based JKing Dance Company (JKDC) will be presenting 'RelinQuish' --'LISTEn' and 'Com•part•men•tal•Eyes' ~ section A and B, at The Ailey Citigroup Theater / Joan Weill Center for Dance in Manhattan on May 3. The performance by the all-female company features original choreography by JKDC Founder and Artistic Director Joyce King. Described as 'Dramatic Contemporary,' JKDC's amalgam of ballet, jazz, modern, and acting brings an intimate view to our repertory-intermingling the physicality and emotion of dance to stimulate communication on sensitive topics.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, beloved as one of the world's most popular dance companies, will travel coast to coast beginning in February on a 23-city North American tour hitting major markets such as Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Chicago (full schedule below). The 25th season since the passing of legendary founder Alvin Ailey is led by Artistic Director Robert Battle who continues to expand the Company's diverse repertory with a wide range of important choreographic voices. Exciting premieres and new productions give Ailey's 30 extraordinary dancers even more ways to inspire audiences. Highlights of the season, launching in New York in December, include: (tour programming will be announced by January):

Fresh off the stage from Beyoncé's Mrs. Carter World Tour, Les Twins will return to the Ailey Extension for one day only! On January 7, the dynamic Hip-Hop duo will host two master classes featuring their signature 'New Style' technique.

In conjunction with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's current holiday season at New York City Center, the celebration of the new year, and The January 5th season finale on what would have been Alvin Ailey's 83rd birthday; The Ailey Extension will offer special programs now through January. Starting tonight programs will include Revelations workshops taught by leading dancers from the Company's 55 year history, and the all new 'Get Fit in '14' challenge beginning today, January 2nd.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Ailey's 2013-14 Season at New York City Center kicked off December 4th with an Opening Night Gala Benefit hosted by Honorary Co-Chair Gabrielle Union. The event's co-chairs were Simin Allison & in memory, Herb Allison, Kathryn & Kenneth Chenault, Daria L. Foster & Erich J. Wallach, Agnes & Gerald Hassell, Debra L. Lee, and Joan & Sandy Weill. The evening helped raise over $2.4 million for the creation of new works and Alvin Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people, including AileyCamp and scholarships to The Ailey School. Die international erfolgreichste Tanzcompany aus den Vereinigten Staaten kehrt im Sommer 2014 auf ausgewahlte Buhnen im deutschsprachigen Raum zuruck. Nach restlos ausverkauften Gastspielen 2011 wird das einzigartige Ensemble vom 2. Juli bis 10. August 2014 erneut in der Alten Oper Frankfurt, am Theater 11 in Zurich und in der Kolner Philharmonie gastieren sowie - erstmals seit uber 17 Jahren - im Deutschen Theater Munchen.

Ailey II embarks on a 31-city world tour from September 17th through March 28th with 24 domestic cities including Kansas City, MO; Baton Rouge, LA; Columbia, SC; Memphis, TN; and Birmingham, AL. The international portion of Ailey II's tour takes the dancers to Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Canada (full schedule on page two).

The Ailey dancers invite fans and friends to Dance Works Unhinged, a self-produced performance of original works in the intimate surroundings of The Ailey Citigroup Theater tonight, July 20th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 21st at 3:00 p.m. Ticket proceeds will go to the Ailey Dancers' Resource Fund, which assists current and former company members with grants for career transition, creative endeavors or emergency loans.
