WAITRESS, the Tony nominated musical will be premiering at The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on March 5 for a limited engagement and is looking for two young girls to perform the role of "Lulu" for the duration of the engagement.

On a cold, snowy night in Wichita, Jersey Boys played to a packed house at Century II on Tuesday February 19, 2019. The jukebox musical tells the biographical story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, one of the most best-selling groups of all time. Presented through NetWorks Presentations, the cast was spearheaded by Jonathan Cable, Eric Chambliss, Corey Greenan and Jonny Wexler as the fabulous core of that famous quartet.

Hamilton is a show that feels as if it's of the moment. It's a cultural phenomenon and certainly one worth checking out, not least so you can experience the frenzy firsthand.

Starting with promise, this show never fulfilled it as a rushed copy of WEST SIDE STORY never clicked.

Pulitzer finalist Madeleine George describes the title character of her decidedly weird little comedy about the threat of global warming, Hurricane Diane, as 'a butch charm factory.' Becca Blackwell sure fits that bill perfectly, delivering the 90-minute play's exposition monologue with the engaging flair of an ace stand-up comic nailing the punch lines in a tight three minute set.

'You keep talking about these false allegations,' a woman survivor firmly explains. 'Let me make this clear. For rape, which is what we're talking about, that percentage is super small.' 'And in that percentage, however small, are innocent men,' answers her firefighter boyfriend, whose dreams of an NFL career were quashed with one accusation.'

Hamilton is welcoming a new leading man tonight as Austin Scott steps into the role of Alexander Hamilton on Broadway! Scott previously led the company of the First National Tour. He takes over following Michael Luwoye's final performance on February 17th.

It is especially thrilling when it's a piece with such sweet potential as Roald Dahl's classic tale, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. With the original book, the classic Gene Wilder film (and other film adaptations) and recent London and Broadway musical productions setting the stage, this fun new musical will take the Bushnell stage in Hartford, CT from February 19 - 24.  Playing Augustus Gloop, one of the nasty children who finds a golden ticket to tour Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, will be Matt Wood, who sat down with me to talk about this entertaining, family-friendly show.
