Florida Professional Theatre Companies Join Forces For Exciting Co-Productions

freeFall Theatre in St. Petersburg, FL and The Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville, FL have joined forces to co-present two productions in their 2019/2020 season. freeFall will present MARIE & ROSETTA opening January 18 and Hippodrome will present LONE STAR SPIRITS opening January 24. The company will then transfer the productions to their respective spaces after the initial run of each show. Both shows will run a combined total of over 8 weeks.

Enjoy blues, jazz, Latin, fusion, bluegrass, folk and a musical experience only the well-travelled know. Our 9th installment of the “Passport to the World” concert series promises another first rate music festival that allows you to explore the world without ever leaving Falls Church. All Passport to the World concerts are presented at Creative Cauldron, 410 S Maple Avenue, Falls Church VA.

DACAMERA's 2019a?"20 season continues with American Mavericks: Los Angeles Guitar Quartet at Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center, on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at 8 p.m. With nearly four decades of experience playing together, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) is widely regarded as America's most innovative classical guitar ensemble. Marking the quartet's return to the DACAMERA stage, this concert is the 2020 James K. Schooler Memorial Concert, an annual event recognizing the generous bequest made by a loyal DACAMERA subscriber and donor.

The Frist Art Museum and Fisk University Galleries present Terry Adkins: Our Sons and Daughters Ever on the Altar, concurrent presentations of sculptures, prints, installations, and video by the multidisciplinary and multimedia artist and musician, on view in the Frist's Gordon Contemporary Artists Project Gallery from February 20 through May 31, 2020, and the Carl Van Vechten Gallery at Fisk from February 20 through September 12, 2020. Presented forty-five years after Adkins's graduation from Fisk, the exhibition pays special attention to the influence that his time in Nashville had on the late internationally acclaimed artist.

The show is made possible through the generosity of Wayne and Rachelle Prim. Since the beginning of his career, Koz has been all about dodging expectations and traditions. His brand-new holiday album, Gifts of the Season, is his seventh holiday release, and features the very same guests with him on this year's Christmas tour.

Modular-Synth Musician Sontag Releases Two-track EP OVERWHELMED

Los Angeles based modular-synth musician Sontag released his two-track EP Overwhelmed on 15 November via Lushkills, mastered by Chris Simon (Moon Boots). Sontag has garnered support from tastemaker Youtube channels Proximity, DubstepGutter, UKF Dubstep, Monstercat: Uncaged, Nik Cooper and AirwaveMusicTV as well as press support from Earmilk, Electronic Groove and The Music Ninja. He has racked up over 10 million Youtube views, nearly 400K Soundcloud streams and 700K Spotify streams, and featured on Protohype's 'Fight To Hold' which saw BBC radio play on 1Xtra's Rewind. He has played Big Surreal, and SnowGlobe Festival as a live guest vocalist for Sirensceol.

Ambient Electronic producer Koresma released his latest single 'Snow Globe (ft. Axel Mansoor)' on 15 November via his own imprint Koresma. The track is lifted from his upcoming EP North, part of a four-part series that follows on from previous EP's East and West and boasts mixing credits by Shawn Hatfield of Audible Oddities (Amon Tobin, Tokimonsta, Eskmo, Papadosio). Koresma has seen previous support from tastemaker Youtube channels such as Mr Suicide Sheep, Fluidified, Sir Chillicious, nourish, and Ambient as well as publications such as The 405, Indie Shuffle, Acid Stag, Stereofox and Surviving The Golden Age. He has hit #1 on The Hype Machine Charts a number of times, has 250k monthly Spotify listeners with over 7 million Spotify streams, over 4.3 million Youtube views and was playlisted on Apple Music's 'Today's Chill'. The ambient electronic producer receives regular radioplay from NPR Radio's All Things Considered and The Morning Edition. Koresma has opened shows for the likes of Emancipator, Little People, CloZee, Ninja Tune artist Blockhead and STLNDRMS and he has just been selected to support Emancipator on his winter tour.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, recipient of the 2019 Tony Award for Regional Theatre, has announced the appointment of Tim Bond as its new Artistic Director. Bond will join the company officially in March 2020, stepping in as Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley winds down his 50th and final season at the helm of the theatre he created, ending one of the longest tenures in American theatre. Kelley previously announced his retirement at the conclusion of the company's current season in June 2020.
