The Wick Theatre Reopens With BACK HOME AGAIN

The Wick Theatre has been keeping audiences entertained for months now with their dynamic Supper Club Cabarets, which take place in the grand lobby, but now the time has come to open the doors to the main theatre! The first show will be appropriately, Back Home Again, a John Denver tribute by Tom Becker and his band, who have been featured on PBS.

The Wittliff Collections Announces Limited Free Public Seating For Inaugural Festival Panel Discussions

The Wittliff Collections, an internationally acclaimed collection of Southwest writing, photography, film and music, announces the availability of limited complimentary public seating at four panel discussions that are part of The Wittliff Collections Festival, taking place April 18, 2020. The panel discussions will be held at the W Austin Hotel (200 Lavaca St., Austin, Texas 78701) from 8:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Public seating will be released ten minutes prior to the start of each panel, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dailey & Vincent Bring LANDFEST Music Festival Series to Texas

Dailey & Vincent are bringing their LANDFEST music festival series to Texas for the first annual LONESTAR LANDFEST, set for May 30 and 31 of this year at The Theatre at Grand Prairie. Tickets went on sale Friday, February 21 and are now available at AXS.com. Along with Dailey & Vincent, the inaugural lineup includes GRAMMY® Award-winners Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Steve Earle & The Dukes. Also featured on the lineup are Jerry Jeff Walker, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bradley Walker, and The Voice season 17 winner Jake Hoot. Dallas Wayne from SiriusXM's Outlaw Country and Willie's Roadhouse will be the MC for both nights of the festival.

ELIZA GILKYSON Shares a Track From Her New Album with Billboard

Eliza Gilkyson, the two-time GRAMMY-nominated (2006/2014) folk singer, songwriter and activist is one of the most respected musicians in Folk Roots/Americana music today. In keeping with the idea of folk music as an instrument for change, Gilkyson is announcing her new release, 2020, a collection of politically charged anthems designed to motivate, reflect and inspire action during what she believes will be “the most important USA election of our lifetime.” She is sharing the song 'Sooner or Later' today at Billboard, which writes 'the bluesy, biting 'Sooner or Later' is intended as a rallying cry and a statement of purpose.' Gilkyson examines the inequality in our world right now and warns that sooner or later we're 'gonna rise up, gonna take all back.'

The long anticipated album comes following a career that's spanned over 50 years and literally hundreds of historical collaborations. Along with the announcement came the first single 'Crossfire', a tribute to the legacy of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Wynans' work with Double Trouble, featuring the iconic Sam Moore of Sam & Dave on vocals. Today, Wynans shares the video for 'Crossfire' with behind-the-scenes footage from the studio recordings. The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will present a very special concert, under the musical direction of Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings, to mark the opening of the museum's new major exhibition, Outlaws & Armadillos: Country's Roaring '70s. The concert, exhibit and additional programs will explore an era of intense cultural exchange between Nashville and Austin, Texas, in the 1970s, when country music's Outlaw movement was on the rise.
