Town Hall presents Broadway Rising Stars, a national showcase that introduces New York audiences to the next generation of up-and-coming talent as chosen by a panel of discerning judges from among the most outstanding new graduates from schools such as the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, CAP21, Circle in the Square Theatre School, Marymount Manhattan College, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts, NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and other acclaimed institutions. The 2018 Rising Stars is spearheaded by Scott Siegel, creator/writer/host of Town Hall's beloved Broadway by the Year series.

Tony and Grammy award-nominated Michael McElroy and Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) released the eleventh video in their 'Broadway Our Way' series today, June 1st, featuring "Defying Gravity" from the hugely popular musical WICKED, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (multi-award winner, including Academy, Grammy, and Golden Globe Awards, as well as the Isabelle Stephenson Award). The new musical Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical will get a special concert presentation at theNational Arts Gallery (15 Gramercy Park South) on Monday, April 17 at 7:30 pm, before debuting a fully staged production at this year's New York Musical Festival (NYMF). Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical has a book by Roger O. Hirson (Tony Nominee for Pippin) and music and lyrics by Barbara Carole Sickmen and will be directed by Paul A. Stancato (National Tours: Flashdance, The Lion King, The Wedding Singer) and Music Director Jesse Warkentin (National Tours: Wicked, Cinderella).   Ben, Virginia and Me: The Liberace Musical is produced by Ron Sickmen. Tickets are FREE to the public but reservation are necessary, they can be made by emailingtheatre@thenationalartsclub.org.

Tony Award nominee and Grammy award winning Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices launches 'Broadway Our Way' , a video series celebrating some of Broadway's greatest tunes performed the BIV way,  August 1st on Youtube. The series will present Broadway songs performed in the Gospel style and will feature original arrangements by Michael McElroy and appearances by special guests.

Just announced! The NYC debut of ELIJAH JAMAL QUINTET and Guests performing on Friday, September 4!  The quintet is led by saxophonist and composer Elijah Jamal Balbed, a Washington DC native named 'Best Tenor Saxophonist' and 'Best New Jazz Musician' by the Washington City Paper. 

ScoBar Entertainment will present actress/singer/comedian RAIN PRYOR in DIVORCED, DANGEROUS & DIVALICIOUS - Songs of Hope Heartache & Truth, at Iridium NYC, for one night only, Tuesday, August 25 at 8pm. She will be accompanied by Zach Lapidus on piano, Jerry  DeVore on bass & Joel E. Mateo on drums.

Forde is joined by Tyrone Davis Jr. (Witness Uganda), Marissa Miller, and Jillian Kates Bumpas (Wicked). Christopher Murrah directs. The remaining added performance will be October 24th at 7pm.
