Rain Pryor has been performing as a Jazz/Blues Vocalist since 1993, playing to sold-out crowds in Los Angeles, DC, Hong Kong, Scotland & London. Her cabaret performances have been critically acclaimed, receiving four stars with a "not to be missed" & proclaiming her "a robust, ebullient performer with an outsize presence built for Broadway," by the NY Times. Rain has performed standup comedy & headlined in New York at Carolines on Broadway, Broadway Comedy Club & Brokerage, at the Borgata in Atlantic City, Bally's in Las Vegas & nationally at The Improv, Catch a Rising Star, Joke Factory & Funny Stop. She has opened for Tracy Morgan & Eddie Griffin, toured with The Joke's on You Comedy Tour & recorded her first ever comedy CD Black and White, produced by David Drozen, at the LA Comedy Club in Las Vegas.
The daughter of comedian Richard Pryor, Rain inherited her father's comedic genius & musical talent, but is making it her own. She made her TV debut in the recurring role of TJ on the ABC hit series "Head of the Class," starred on the Showtime series "Rude Awakening" opposite Sherrilyn Fenn & Lynn Redgrave & has appeared on Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson & Tavis Smiley. Her stage credits include playing the roles of both Billie Holiday & Ella Fitzgerald & recently finished an extended run of a newly revised & staged version of her acclaimed one-woman show, Fried Chicken & Latkes in Los Angeles, directed by Eve Brandstein, following the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway run in NYC in 2015. Her award-winning film, That Daughter's Crazy, opened the British Urban Film Festival in London. She was Co-Host of "Arise & Shine Live" Saturday & Sunday mornings on ARISE-TV in NY, London & Africa & is currently Co-Host of YouTube's "Scotch & Rain Show."
