Don't Tell Mama is thrilled to present the return engagement of West End & Broadway star and Olivier Award-nominee Liz Robertson in 'Lerner Without Loewe,' an affectionate musical tribute to her late husband, Alan Jay Lerner, the internationally acclaimed author of My Fair Lady, currently in previews at The Vivian Beaumont Theatre and opening on April 19. Having debuted the show in a one night engagement last April, she now returns for three (3) performances -  Friday, April 13 at 7pm, Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, and Sunday, April 15 at 6pm. The evening is directed by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by Ron Abel.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) is celebrating the Fred Astaire songbook on Sunday, April 8 at 3 p.m. with star vocalists Danny Bacher and Alexis Cole, who recently appeared together at Carnegie Hall, and two leading Broadway dancers, Cory Lingner("On the Town," "American in Paris") and Eloise Kropp ("Dames at Sea," "CATS"), performing with an all-star jazz band led by Dr. Art Topilow on piano, with Aaron Weinstein on violin, Mike Lee on saxophone, Doug Clarke on guitar, Rudy Petschauer on percussion and Gary Mazzaroppi on bass.

Musicals Tonight!, the brainchild of founder Mel Miller, will take its final bow with their 100th revival and New York Premiere of Calamity Jane. The musical western plays a limited engagement March 13th through March 25th at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42 Street). The 2018 McCammon Voice Competition judges have chosen the semi-finalists for the eighteenth biennial competition, to be held on March 16, 2018 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The finals will be held March 17, 2018 at Bass Performance Hall. This year's competitors are David Araujo, Amanda Blue, Nicolette Book, Ryan Bradford, Rachael Braustein, Kathleen Buccleugh, Chelsea Coyne, Danielle Davis, Peter Scott Drackley, Helen Huang, Hao Hu, Emily Michiko Jensen, Abigail Kempson, Chonghwa Kim, Abigail Levis, Brandon Morales, Elizabeth Moran, Langelihle Mngxati, Chong Yoon Noh, Brittany Nickell, Yulan Piao, Anthony Reed, Michael St. Peter and Andrew Wannigman.

The MTH Theater at Crown Center is pleased to announce casting for its first show of its 16th Season, BROADWAY'S GOLDEN AGE. An MTH original production, the show is helmed by respected Kansas City Theater Artist Julie Shaw, who makes her MTH directorial debut with this production. The nine person ensemble includes Danielle Barger, Sara Belhouari, Lexi Brie, John Cleary, Robby May, Phillip Newman, Mandy Morris, and David Sanchez.

92nd Street Y has announced an exciting spring lineup of theatre-centric programming, featuring many of today's Broadway favorites. 

The 100th birthday of the legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein will be celebrated at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 16 at 8 p.m. with the Bill Charlap Trio. Charlap, long an admirer of the remarkable and charismatic Bernstein, received a Grammy Award nomination for his album Somewhere: the Songs of Leonard Bernstein (2000), and is well known for his interpretations of Bernstein's popular songs, mostly written for Broadway musicals like West Side Story, On the Town, and Candide.

92nd Street Y's 48th season of Lyrics & Lyricists continues with an essential American story, Irving Berlin: American, celebrating Berlin's extraordinary life and work. On the occasion of the centenary of the writing of "God Bless America" - our nation's "other anthem," - artistic director, co-writer and choreographer, Noah Racey (Lyrics & Lyricists veteran, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and co-writer Cheryl L. Davis (Barnstormer, Maid's Door, Bridges) explore how the five-year-old Russian immigrant who arrived at Ellis Island speaking no English came to create songs that epitomize American music, and how he became the spokesman in song for the country that allowed him to flourish. The cast is stacked with actor/dancer/singer triple threats: Stephen DeRosa (A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum), Holly Butler (On the Town), Danny Gardner ( Dames at Sea, Crazy for You), Emily Hsu (The Unsinkable Molly Brown), Richard Riaz Yoder (Hello, Dolly!) and Pace University theater student Jada Temple.

In the last week, I have been able to check off two of my theatre bucket list items.  One was to see a professional production of CHESS, which I was able to see at the Kennedy Center in its limited run last week.   The second, I checked off Saturday night at the Human Race Theatre Company at its fundraising event ONE NIGHT WITH REBECCA LUKER, when I was actually able to hear Rebecca Luker sing in person.

Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of Grand Hotel, The Musical, directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes.

THE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS satirizes a few archetypes from stage and screen (especially the sweet ingenue and perpetually thirsty lyricist), reveals secret passageways and mistaken identities -- and multiple plot twists and multiple murders.

The story and music of America's Composer come to life on stage with Seattle Repertory Theatre's presentation of Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin, a play-with-music written and performed by award-winning actor and musician Hershey Felder (Broadway's George Gershwin Alone, Off-Broadway's Maestro; Our Great Tchaikovsky, and others). Directed by Trevor Hay, Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin will play the Bagley Wright stage February 23-March 18, 2018 (opening night is February 28, 2018), and tickets are on sale now through the Seattle Rep Box Office at 206.443.2222 and online at SeattleRep.org.

Doyle will be auctioning off property from the estate of Tony Award winner Barbara Cook. The auctions will begin on February 14, and will include items such as fine jewelry, stage jewelry, accessories, furniture and art.

The Victoria Symphony celebrates the bright lights and popular musicals of Broadway with the talented students of the Canadian College of Performing Arts. Broadway Lights is presented March 9 and 10, 2018, at 8pm, with a matinee March 10 at 2pm. All performances take place at the Royal Theatre, 805 Broughton Street, Victoria, BC.

Ghostlight Records celebrates Hal Prince's historic 90th Birthday today with the announcement that the label will release PRINCE OF BROADWAY Original Broadway Cast Recording in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, April 20.

Hal Cazalet returns to Crazy Coqs, Live at Zedel following his sell out debut in October 2017 to celebrate the centenary of P.G. Wodehouse on Broadway and his fellow wordsmiths - 'the Men Who Made Musicals' in Play on Words at Soho's Brasserie Zedel from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 February, 2018. The British tenor, a relative of author Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse, will be joined by special guests, to be announced in due course, with Simon Beck on piano and directed by Hugh Wooldridge at London's premier cabaret room.

The Human Race Theatre Company is proud to present Broadway leading lady and three-time Tony Award nominee, Rebecca Luker, in a special concert appearance as she performs many of The Great White Way's greatest songs written by Golden Age legends Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim and more, along with newer tunes from some of today's hottest theatre composers. Ms. Luker will be accompanied on the piano by her music director, longtime Human Race collaborator Joseph Thalken.
