Right from the Broadway production of Godspell, Hannah Elless joins the cast of Michael Ogborn's award winning musical Baby Case, playing the role of Adela St. John. Baby Case is directed by Jeremy Dobrish and produced by Charlie Fink, Michael Ogborn, Robert Soslow, Juliana Schauerman, Dorothy Flynn, Caroline Castagno, Glenn Gunderson, Kathy Lou Leone, Diane Santillo, and Anne Makara. Baby Case will play from July 16 - 22, 2012, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42 St). Baby Case is presented by The New York Musical Theatre Festival.

The 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival presents the world premiere of How Deep Is The Ocean?, a new American musical with music and lyrics by Peter Cincotti ("Metropolis"), book by Pia Cincotti, and directed by Jeremy Dobrish (Rated P, Date of a Lifetime, The Joys of Sex, Signs of Life) and Gina Rattan (resident director, Billy Elliott). Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) kicks off the 10th anniversary of its Uptown Series with the world premiere of The Bad Guys, written by Alena Smith and directed by Hal Brooks. The Bad Guys will feature Michael Braun (War Horse), Roe Hartrampf (Unnatural Acts), James McMenamin (Suicide, Incorporated), Tobias Segal (The Miracle Worker) and Raviv Ullman (Russian Transport). Opening night is tonight, June 4th.

The Active Theater (Nathaniel Shaw, Artistic Director), now in its fourth year, presents its final production for the 2011-2012 season, the world premiere of Jennie Contuzzi's BODY LANGUAGE. Directed by Nathaniel Shaw, the play opens tonight, Thursday, May 31st at The Workshop Theater (312 W. 36th Street). BODY LANGUAGE runs through June 10th.

Rated P for Parenthood, a new musical comedy in its Off-Broadway debut now on stage upstairs at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street), welcomed its first marriage proposal following the evening performance on Wednesday, March 7th. Long Island resident David Troy joined the cast following the curtain call to call his girlfriend, Dellene Kornitsky on stage. As the audience applauded, Mr. Troy popped the question. Ms Kornitsky answered, "Of course!"

Midtown Direct Rep will hold a fundraising event to benefit the company during the opening week of Rated P for Parenthood, it was announced today. The Special MDR Off-Broadway fundraiser ticket will include prime orchestra seats to the Friday, March 20th 8:00 p.m. performance, exclusive talk back with the cast and the creators of Rated P, and a champagne after-party coach ride back to SOPAC with members of the cast, Ms. Rustin, Mr. Dobrish and producers who all call South Orange/Maplewood home.

Rated P for Parenthood began Wednesday, February 8 and officially opened last night, February 29, 2012 at the Westside Theatre. The company celebrated with a party at Southern Hospitality and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the excitement.
