Derrick Baskin, Andrea Burns, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Harriett D. Foy, Marcy Harriell, Lisa Howard, Ebony Joann, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Adriane Lenox, Sarah Saltzberg, Sherie Rene Scott, and J. Robert Spencer performed songs from several of Second Stage's most memorable musicals for a one-night-only benefit, A MOMENT WITH YOU, last night April 4, 2011 at Hammerstein Ballroom. The evening honored Second Stage Theatre Board Member Donna Perret Rosen. Stephen Sondheim served as the evening's Honorary Chair.

THE ACTIVE THEATER in association with BUD MARTIN will present Any Given Monday by Bruce Graham on Monday, April 4, 2011 at New World Stages, 2:00pm, in Stage 5. Bud Martin will direct the private reading of the play which was first seen in a co-production between ACT II PLAYHOUSE, Ambler, PA and THEATRE EXILE, Philadelphia, PA. Any Given Monday was the recipient of the 2010 Barrymore Award for Best New Play.

Casting announced of U.S. premiere of Israela Margalit's TRIO 3/12-4/10

Music, passion, madness, and one woman's fight for her right to a career. The intense relationships between Robert Schumann, his wife Clara Schumann and the young Johannes Brahms come to theatrical life in a new romantic drama by playwright and renowned concert pianist, Israela Margalit. The U.S. premiere of Trio, directed by Rick Sparks and featuring Peter Colburn, Bjorn Johnson, Meghan Maureen McDonough, Brian Normoyle and Jeremy Shranko, opens for a five-week run on March 12 at the Lounge 2 Theatre in Hollywood.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced the two world premiere plays which will be presented as part of the company's ninth annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series this summer: Michael Mitnick's Sex Lives of Our Parents, directed by Davis McCallum, and Anna Kerrigan's The Talls, directed by Carolyn Cantor.

Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Ken Davenport (author of the popular blog, The Producer's Perspective) will present Carl Kissin and Robert Baumgartner Jr.'s Date of a Lifetime as the fourth and final selection in THE DAVENPORT DEVELOPMENTAL READING SERIES, four readings of new works (plays and/or musicals), on Monday, December 13th at the Davenport Studio (250 West 49th Street, Suite 302, NYC).
