Amazon Studios Announces Cast for New LORD OF THE RINGS Series

Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. Newly revealed cast members including Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman. Production will begin in February.

Winter Park Playhouse starts the new calendar year with the Off-Broadway hit - Beehive: 60's Musical opening January 24 and running through February 22, 2020. This testament to female empowerment in the 1960's is an energetic musical filled with the most popular songs of the decade. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

The National Theatre of London presents an encore presentation of the play on screen in HD at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, January 19th at 2pm. A not-for-profit registered charity, The Old Vic can only keep thriving with the help of individual supporters, corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and nights like this one.

London's latest foray into Arthur Miller has serious transatlantic star power, with its leading quartet of Bill Pullman, two-time Oscar-winner Sally Field, Colin Morgan and Jenna Coleman. However, Jeremy Herrin's Old Vic/Headlong co-production is surprisingly understated, with the play's politics, rather than its passions, really shining through.

All My Sons is the second production, following Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, at The Old Vic to be broadcast as part of NT Live. Further casting for All My Sons is also announced today.
