The New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy and Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas have announced I Dream a World: The Harlem Renaissance and Beyond, a multi-disciplinary, multi-tiered festival that celebrates the history and influence of this cultural movement.

The Orlando Philharmonic will present Gershwin’s Concerto in F as part of its Classics Series at Calvary Orlando on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Music Director Eric Jacobsen will lead the Philharmonic musicians as well as guest vocalists through an emotional and expressive night of music.

The lineup includes a re-opening concert PUTTIN' ON THE RITZ, the return of the Latté Da original docu-musical ALL IS CALM: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914, the return of Peter Rothstein’s award-winning staging of Puccini's beloved opera LA BOHÈME, the area premiere of JELLY’S LAST JAM, the world premiere musical adaptation of TWELVE ANGRY MEN, and the company’s annual NEXT FESTIVAL.

Catch Birdland favorites Arturo O’Farrill & The Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble, Jim Caruso’s Cast Party, The Lineup with Susie Mosher, and David Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band all month long for only .99 cents when booked in advance! There are a limited number of these tickets available for each show so booking early is advised. 

On July 1, 2021 Birdland will open its doors to the public for the first time since March 2020. To mark the grand reopening, Birdland is bringing back 1949 prices as a thank you to returning patrons.

Workshops will be held virtually during the first week of June. Beginning June 7, if all participants agree, the workshops may expand to meeting in-person, practicing safety guidelines from the CDC.
