Associated Chamber Music Players (ACMP) announces the 2020 season, including the brand-new Animato! mini-coaching chamber music video series, their annual Worldwide Play-in Weekend, and the third annual Livestream Masterclass. ACMP has commissioned award-winning composer Paul Moravec to compose a new piece for adult amateur players. This commission marks the first step in ACMP's initiatives to make contemporary chamber music more accessible to non-professional musicians. Moravec's new piece for violin or clarinet, cello and piano will be published by Subito Music Corporation and will be available in early 2020.

Imani Winds is a Grammy-nominated wind quintet that for the past two decades has created meaningful connections through music and, by doing so, has set a new standard for chamber music. Da Camera of Houston's 2019-20 season launches with Bon Appetit!, an evening of surrealist and culinary musical delights, at the Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center on Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. The first of several Da Camera performances this season to prominently feature talented women, the concert is titled after composer Lee Hoiby's comedic operatic take on Julia Child's 1970s television show, with soprano Abigail Fischer as the beloved chef. The program also features the renowned Imani Winds performing Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin and acclaimed American vocalist Ryan McKinny in his Da Camera debut performing Francis Poulenc's delightfully absurd Le bal masque.
