TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, Starring Molly Ringwald, Begins Off-Broadway

59E59 Theaters hosts the US premiere of TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, written by Dan Gordon, based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Larry McMurtry and the Oscar-winning screenplay by James L. Brooks, and directed by Michael Parva.

Moses, starts its 43rd season with the celebrated musical featuring the music of American Icon, Johnny Cash, in Ring Of Fire. Sponsored by John & Marilyn McConnell and Riverside Theatre's Patron Producers' Group, Ring Of Fire plays the Stark Stage from October 25 through November 13, 2016.

Women's Project Theater (WP Theater), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty has announced the 30th Annual WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS GALA. The gala will honor Tony Award and six-time Emmy Award winning actress Tyne Daly, President and Vice Chairman, Fairchild Fashion Media Stephanie George and Group President, North America, Procter & Gamble Carolyn Tastad.  Hosted by Two-time Tony & Emmy Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth, with special appearances by Four-time Tony Award & Emmy winner Terrence McNally (It's Only a Play, The Visit), Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid, It Shoulda Been You), Jeb Brown (Beautiful, The Carole King Musical), Margo Seibert (Rocky), and more, the Gala will take place on Monday, June 8, 2015 (6:30pm Cocktails, 8:00pm Dinner/Awards/Performances) at The Edison Ballroom, 240 W 47th Street.

BWW Flashback: Farewell to Carole! Tony Winner Jessie Mueller Enters Final Week of Performances in BEAUTIFUL

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in Jesus Christ Superstar, has nabbed the title role in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Kennedy begins performances on March 7, 2015, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who will play her final performance in Beautiful later this week on March 6 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street). #SaveCafeEdison Campaign Hits Over 6,300 Supporters; Words from Martha Plimpton, Glenn Close, Jennifer Tepper & More!

On Thursday, November 6th it was announced that Cafe Edison in Times Square is being denied a new lease by The Hotel Edison management. The diner -- which has served as a hub for the Broadway community for more than 30 years -- is expected to close at the end of the year. The story has sparked an outpouring of support from the Broadway community and New Yorkers at large, as well as produced a widely circulated online petition. Among the signees -- numbered at 6,357 supporters (as of 6:30 p.m. on Nov 11) -- are stars Glenn Close, Martha Plimpton, Christine Pedi, Karen Mason, Mary Testa, Joey Parnes, Rob McClure, Teal Wicks, Mamie Parris, Michael Cerveris, Sean Connery, Marc Shaiman, and more.
