NUNSENSE, the award-winning and hilarious Off-Broadway hit musical comedy, plays the historic stage at Bill Hanney's Theatre by the Sea from May 29 thru June 16. Dan Goggin's latest installment in the Nunsense series is Nunset Boulevard, which world premiered in 2009. It is a delicious musical ode to old Hollywood. And yes, Norma Desmond does make a brief appearance. Continuing on its first national tour, the show stopped at the Norris Theatre Saturday for two performances. The matinee I attended was close to SRO, and most everyone just ate up the silly humor and 5 infectious characterizations - the Little Sisters of Hoboken - who find themselves stuck, not where they were led to believe at the Hollywood Bowl, but... at at the Hollywood Bowl A-Rama. Low on plot - there's even a song this time to spell it out - it's high on energy and sheer fun, with some great audience participation including real live bowling on a TV game show takeoff The Price Is Righteous.

Nunsense creator Dan Goggin and Kultur Film and Video today announced the DVD release of "Nunset Boulevard: The Nunsense Hollywood Bowl Show," the latest installment of the international smash hit Nunsense franchise, available today, Tuesday, May 29.

The best of Broadway will be presented FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2010' - a lunchtime series which began on Thursday, July 8th at 12:30pm on the Bryant Park Stage. One of the most successful musicals of all time, Dan Goggin's NUNSENSE will celebrate its silver birthday this summer with a 25th anniversary production presented by the Off-Broadway Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St. in Manhattan) -- where the hilarious musical comedy about the Little Sisters of Hoboken debuted Off-Broadway in 1985 - with performances beginning June 15 and running through July 18, 2010, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, Artistic Director of Cherry Lane Theatre and herself a former member of the cast of NUNSENSE in 1987.

Tickets are now on sale for NUNSENSE which will begin preview Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre on June 13. The show will officially open on June 20. This production marks the 25th anniversary of NUNSENSE. The show is written and directed by Dan Goggin.

February 12 - MARCH 21, 2009 Book, Music, Lyrics & Direction by Dan Goggin With the ?Nunsense' shows, the creator, Danny Goggin, has lifted the human spirit as he has made millions laugh. Meshuggah-Nuns, is the fifth variation in the popular 'Nunsense' series. For the last 26 years, the Little Sisters of Hoboken have entertained audiences in theatres around the globe, making 'Nunsense' an international household name. Meshuggah-Nuns, has The Sisters aboard the ship Golden Delicious on a 'Faiths of All Nations' cruise. Due to rough seas, the actors of the onboard musical, Fiddler On The Roof, succumb to sea sickness. Miraculously, the nuns survive the rolling waters unscathed, after Sister Julia put Dramamine in the brownies! The ship's captain, knowing of the Sisters' show-business savvy, urges them to concoct a variety show with Howard, who plays Tevye, the only actor who still has his sea legs. The four singing nuns now become an ecumenical, co-educational quintet. The show has a variety of music, with songs ranging in style from pop to country to gospel blues. Many of the jokes are delivered in the Laugh- In comedy format. There are sing-alongs, and even a puppet named Sister Mary Annette who performs a saucy Mae West number. It promises to be a laugh-filled funfest, with a mix of musical madcap, sprinkled with saintly sight gags and ubiquitous jokes. From the rousing opening number, 'Anchors Aweigh', to the hysterical, 'Say it in Yiddish', and 'Matzo Man,' to the touching, 'A Love Like This', the show will lift your spirits. It is a sweet natured celebration of Catholic and Jewish traditions.
