From June 2 to 19, Theater for the New City will present the world premiere of 'A Healthy House' by Tom Diriwachter, directed by Jonathan Weber.

Music from the Searchlight Pictures film, Fire Island, including the Fire Island original score soundtrack with music by critically-acclaimed composer and producer Jay Wadley, together with the Fire Island official playlist curated by Andrew Ahn, Bowen Yang and Joel Kim Booster, and featuring the cover “Sometimes” by MUNA was released.

The American Tap Dance Foundation’s TAP DANCE AWARDS will be presented Friday, July 8 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street at 8 pm. 

Three stellar chamber ensembles –– Junction Trio (July 3), Black Oak Ensemble (July 6), and Spektral Quartet (July 10) –– are coming to Newport next month to perform at The Breakers (44 Ochre Point Ave.) as part of the 2022 Newport Classical Music Festival (formerly Newport Music Festival), which runs from July 1-17, 2022. 

Austin's Steady Legend are back with their highly anticipated EP, titled Say Hey. The 4-track EP will be the band's first recorded release with lead singer Analysa Gonzales; giving the band a more soul/R&B/pop and rock sound, but keeping the signature Steady Legend grooves intact. The results are upbeat, infectious, and funky. The first single 'Bad Boy' (dropping June 10th) is a perfect example of the band's new sound.

The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art and Starring Buffalo are excited to present Color and Light, an exhibition in the lobby of Sheas 710 Theater that will accompany Starring Buffalo's production of Sunday in the Park with George. The exhibition takes the characters, songs, and script of the acclaimed musical as a point of departure and connection between works by contemporary artists.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced the celebration of its 70th anniversary. Broward County's Cultural Community shone bright in May, when friends, community activists, artists, dignitaries; and historians gathered to celebrate the opening of L.A. Lee YMCA/Mizell Community Center. This former site of Provident Hospital, the first Black Hospital in Broward County, established courageously in 1938 during segregation, is today located along Fort Lauderdale's cultural, historically-significant Sistrunk Boulevard.

Darlinghurst Theatre Company has announced the cast of the smash-hit musical Once, which makes its long-awaited return to the Eternity Playhouse from 24 June following its season in Perth with Black Swan State Theatre Company.
