What did our critic think of “MARY POPPINS,” SOARS TO NEW HEIGHTS AT THE BANGOR OPERA HOUSE at Penobscot Theatre Company?

The Weathervane Theatre will present the acclaimed play Intimate Apparel - a story of identity, vulnerability, and human resilience by two time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage. Esther is a much sought-after Black seamstress in turn-of-the-20th century Manhattan.

Choreographer Doug Shankman makes the dance his own in this energetic production of a long-time favorite.

In this episode: Janelle A. Robinson trained in opera but always had a love for musical theatre. She has cake walked to "Can't Help Loving that Man" and gave out letters in "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.' Janelle talks about being classical trained, becoming a a teacher, race relations in theater, her truth on the myths of non traditional casting, and still being miffed she didn't get cast as Maria in "Sound of Music' as child.
