CLUB44 RECORDS has announced the new album Carol Sloane, Live at Birdland, which is available on streaming platforms and on CD in stores and online today, Friday, April 8. This release marks the veteran vocalist’s 60th anniversary as a recording artist, and her first album in over a decade. Recorded at the legendary New York jazz boite in September 2019, she was joined by an all-star trio, including the late Mike Renzi on piano, Jay Leonhart on bass, and Scott Hamilton on saxophone. For the tenth year in a row, Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel with their evening of swinging standards on Sundays, March 13, 20, 27, May 1, 22 and 29, from 9pm to midnight.  Bassist Steve Doyle will once again join the duo.

A popular fixture of the New York cabaret scene, Jim Caruso brings his JIM CARUSO’S CAST PARTY across the nation to Feinstein’s At Vitellos November 28th and 29th. An evening of “extreme open mic” provides a platform for new performers as well as surprise established guests. Jim took a few moments after completing his CAST PARTY in Nashville to give us some behind-the-scenes of his once-was “weird, show-biz adjacent gig,” now his most enjoyable passion CAST PARTY.

In his never-ending quest to spotlight great talent across the country, host Jim Caruso took his Cast Party to the Franklin Theatre just outside of Nashville for a rip-roarin’ celebration.  Nashville is nicknamed “Music City” for good reason.  The city’s passionate obsession with the history and creation of music is palpable.  Almost everyone has a demo, a lead sheet, a song in their hearts, or on their hard drives!
