A new adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel Jane Eyre has opened at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre. The show, a co-production with the New Vic, Newcastle-under-Lyme, can be seen at the SJT throughout April, and at the New Vic in May and we've got the first photos.

A new adaptation of a classic novel, an adaptation of a favourite British movie, Alan Ayckbourn's 87th play, a time-bending romance and a new version of Cinderella have been announced for 2022 by Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre.

DUCDAME ENSEMBLE is proud to present the premiere of THE CONGRESSWOMEN as part of the New York International Fringe Festival - Fringe NYC. Directed by Shira Milikowsky, THE CONGRESSWOMEN is based on a play by Aristophanes & adapted by Kelly Strandemo, with the Ducdame Ensemble Company. DUCDAME ENSEMBLE has announced complete casting for their world premiere adaptation of THE CONGRESSWOMEN, presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Directed by Shira Milikowsky, THE CONGRESSWOMEN is based on a play by Aristophanes & adapted by Kelly Strandemo, with the Ducdame Ensemble Company.

Ducdame Ensemble will bring Victoria Benedictsson's Swedish classic, THE ENCHANTMENT, to North America for its first full production. This new adaptation by Tommy Lexen will be part of SubletSeries@HERE: a curated rental program, which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support. THE ENCHANTMENT will run June 28th through July 22nd, 2017. Lucy Jane Atkinson is set to direct.

The International Shakespeare Center (ISC) is bringing the award-winning New York City based Ducdame Ensemble and their original production DAMES OF THRONES: THE WOMEN IN SHAKESPEARE'S HISTORIES for a one night only performance at the Adobe Rose Theater in Santa Fe, NM.

Ducdame Ensemble will present a one-night-only preview performance of DAMES OF THRONES: THE WOMEN OF SHAKESPEARE'S HISTORIES, on Wednesday February 10th at the Gloria Maddox Theatre in New York City. The event will take place before the production makes its official premiere at the Adobe Rose Theatre in Santa Fe, New Mexico later this month. The devised piece, produced in association with the International Shakespeare Center of Santa Fe, draws from Shakespeare's history plays including RICHARD III, HENRY IV - VI, and KING JOHN.

Ducdame Ensemble's FUENTE OVEJUNA has been selected by Theatre Is Easy (theasy.com) as a 2015 FringeNYC 'Best Bet.' Produced in association with Breukelen Stage & Film, FUENTE OVEJUNA opened on Saturday and runs through Wednesday, August 26th 2015 at the Theater at the 14th Street Y.

Ducdame Ensemble has announced complete casting for their upcoming production of Lope de Vega's classic, FUENTE OVEJUNA. Directed and adapted by Sundance London Award Winner, William Oldroyd, FUENTE OVEJUNA will be presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival next month. 

The celebrated Brooklyn theatre company, Smith Street Stage, will return to Carroll Park to present its annual outdoor production of a play by William Shakespeare. This summer's production will be Henry IV, Part One and Part Two, playing from tonight, June 30 through July 19.
