Just last night, The New York Pops celebrated its 34th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring Karen van Bergen, the CEO of Omnicom Public Relations Group, and Tony Award winners Kelli O'Hara and Bartlett Sher, whose collaborations over the last decade have won universal acclaim and whose individual careers represent pinnacles of achievement in the world of theatre. The concert celebrated the multi-year partnership between the actress and stage director and will bring together artists from the stage and screen.

Deana Martin performs this tribute show to her father Dean Martin all over the country, but last night it was something special at The Ciconne Theatre in New Jersey. The evening also honored the Scognamillo family's world famous Patsy's Italian Restaurant, the place that Frank, Dean, and families called their New York City home.

Monica Piper's acclaimed off-Broadway comedy NOT THAT JEWISH, will play its final performance this Sunday, April 30.

There is no one who possesses the skill set of John Pizzarelli.  Well, not quite. According to John, whenever he plays some intricate jazz guitar riff for his dad Bucky, his famous father says..'that's pretty good, but listen to this!' 

Carnegie Hall is home to some of the greatest 'serious' music created by mankind and when Maestro and Music Director Steven Reineke takes the stage with the 78 member New York Pops Orchestra it's also about great music, great entertainment, and great fun.   The final concert of the season was titled 'You've Got a Friend: A Celebration of Singers and Songwriters and it featured guest artists Will Chase, Christopher Jackson, Jessie Mueller and Adrienne Warren.

Just yesterday, Monica Piper, star and creator of Not That Jewish, and company members celebrated their 200th performance at New World Stages prior to concluding at the end of this month. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the festivities below!

Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, opened just last night, Wednesday, April 19, at MTC's Samuel J. Monica Piper's acclaimed off-Broadway comedy NOT THAT JEWISH, will play its final performance on Sunday, April 30. NOT THAT JEWISH began performances at New World Stages October 6, 2016, prior to an official opening on October 23, 2016. When NOT THAT JEWISH takes its final curtain call at New World Stages, the production will have played a total of 210 performances (including 17 previews).

Show business tour de force Jamie deRoy brings her star-studded Jamie deRoy & friends cabaret show to New York's famed Birdland on Sunday, May 7 at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy & friends Cabaret Initiative.

As previously announced, Monica Piper will play her final performance in the acclaimed off-Broadway comedy Not That Jewish, Sunday, April 30.

You didn't Have to talk back to your TV last night… Dick Cavett Was “Live” at the Friars Club. The tables, (and microphones) were turned on the legendary Talk Show Host as SIRIUS XM Radio personality Pete Dominick interviewed Mr. Cavett.  The “Monestary” wasn't at all quiet as Friars had a lively Q&A after the interview with the man who had Talk Shows on ABC, CBS, PBS and USA Networks.

The Mischief Theatre production of The Play That Goes Wrong, the Olivier Award winning West End comedy, which officially began performances Thursday, March 9, opened on Broadway last night, April 2, at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street).

Jamie deRoy's Friar Membership and her long running Jamie deRoy & friends Variety Show are about the same age.  Jamie became a member in 1988 along with Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers and Brooke Shields.  Jamie brought this edition of the show to the Friars Club last night and the Frank Sinatra Dining Room was filled with Friars and Jamie's friends as they dined and were entertained by some of the best in the business. 

92Y's Lyrics & Lyricists series presented BABY, DREAM YOUR DREAM: Dorothy Fields AND THE WOMEN OF THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK, last night and BroadwayWorld was there.  The show was hosted by Deborah Grace Winer (Artistic Director, Writer & Host), with John Oddo (Music Director) and Mark Waldrop (Stage Director). Marilyn Maye, Kenita Miller, Nancy Opel, Margo Seibert and Emily Skinner were on vocals.

The producers of the hit show Not That Jewish have launched an IndieGogo campaign to provide free theater tickets to Jewish Community Centers in the New York metropolitan area, who've been the target of increased bigotry, antisemitism and threats of violence.
