For its 22nd consecutive year, the west coast Actors Fund celebrated Broadway's Biggest Night at their 22nd Annual Tony Awards® Viewing Party on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. This year's gala honored Tony-nominated book writer ('Wicked') and Emmy-nominated writer and producer ('My So Called Life') Winnie Holzman with the Julie Harris Award for Artistic Achievement. Kirsten Vangsness hosted with special appearances by Shoshana Bean, Wilson Cruz, Paul Dooley and Jessica Marie Garcia. BroadwayWorld's own Michael Sterling caught the action on the 'green' carpet with many of the night's celebrity guests for BWW TV Los Angeles.
A new book of original artworks and poetry will br launched with an exhibition at Northern Print, Stepney Bank, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 2NP. Running from 22 March until the 21st of April the exhibition will feature some of the original artworks from the book.

On Sunday, May 15, The Actors Fund gathered at the home of Western Council member Ilyanne Morden Kichaven and her husband Mike for their annual west coast celebration of Edwin Forrest Day and Shakespeare's birthday. As a pre-cursor to the Actors Fund's highly anticipated and recently record-breaking successful TONY Awards party, the organization that has been meeting the various needs of those within the field of entertainment, gathered to pay homage to the 450th birthday of William Shakespeare and arguably the first true star of the American theatre - Edwin Forrest.
There may not have been 76 trombones, but Florence Henderson and Constantine Maroulis did excellent impersonations of librarian Marian Paroo and Harold Hill of 'The Music Man' fame, as they lead a 28 piece marching Broadway band into the Skirball Cultural Center in the new Guerin Pavilion/Herscher Hall to begin an evening of co-hosting for the Actors Fund's 18th Annual Tony Awards® Party. As the theatrical community of NY gathered on the Great White Way to celebrate their own for the 2010 TONY AWARDS, the Los Angeles thespian society congregated 3000 miles away to cheer their colleagues via a LIVE feed, courtesy of Direct TV, as THE ACTORS FUND and host Tommy Tune honored TONY Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell at their 14th Annual Tony Awards Party with the Julie Harris Award. Former High School chum and dance partner Annette Bening presented the award in recognition of not only 'Stokes' theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. The gala, which included a memorable performance of 'You Made Me Love You' by Lorna Luft dedicated to the evening's honoree, was produced and written by Marc Cherry and David Rambo.
On Sunday, June 10th at L.A.'s Skirball Center, the Actors Fund paid tribute to Jerry Herman at its 11th Annual Tony Awards Party, featuring a live feed of the 61st Annual Tony Awards as they happened in New York.
