Builders Association's STRANGE WINDOW: THE TURN OF THE SCREW Revisits Henry James Novella

A new interpretation of Henry James' 1898 novella, Strange Window: The Turn of the Screw creates a theatrical experience that mirrors the seductive ambiguity of the original chilling tale. On stage, a governess tells her story, deploying the actors and media wizardry of The Builders Association to create the world of her memory while holding the audience in her spell. Turn of the Screw's perplexing questions about the sanity of the governess and the existence of ghosts persist. The fabric of reality is contested and "truth" becomes one option among many in this unsettling story.

Jennifer Saran Issues a Heartfelt Plea to Voters with LET THE WAVES WASH OVER ME (SONG FOR CHRISTINE)

When listeners first hear the new JENNIFER SARAN single “LET THE WAVES WASH OVER ME (SONG FOR CHRISTINE),” they will be transported by the singer's elegant and gorgeous phrasing over producer and co-writer Narada Michael Walden's impeccably lush bed of jazz-blues instrumentation. But as Saran points out, a second listen reveals the dramatic intention behind her lyrics. There is a message that she wants to convey to the public, and its time is “now.”

It's a tale of a young governess just before the turn of the last century who is tasked with the care of two rather peculiar children at a country estate in England. Within a week of arriving, the governess comes to believe the children are possessed by the previous groundskeeper and governess who have since died. But is that really the case?

BWW Album Review: An Instrumental Journey with THE BEAST IN THE JUNGLE Score Recording

The album for the new dance musical The Beast in the Jungle is not your typical cast recording. Actually, it's not a cast recording at all, but a score recording that's purely instrumental. Even though the lack of dialogue and character voices makes it a more challenging score to listen to out of context (as opposed to a typical "cast album"), it's a truly masterful and moving score in its own right.
