BBC Arts and Avalon announce today the casting and directors for DEBUT - a unique new initiative enabling four professional creatives - Bim Adewunmi, Katherine Parkinson, Beryl Richards and Frank Skinner - who have never written for the stage before to create their debut play. All four plays will be directed by emerging directors giving a new generation of talent an opportunity to direct a play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018.

Europe After the Rain opens in the Mercury Studio Theatre on the 31 May with previews from 25 May and runs until 9 June.

A timely revival for one of Jack Rosenthal's celebrated TV plays of the 70s with much to say about the age of the Uber.

The Knowledge is based on the iconic 1979 TV film comedy. Maureen Lipman not only played a leading role in the film, but is also Jack Rosenthal's widow. The stage premiere of The Knowledge is currently in previews at Charing Cross Theatre for an opening on 11 September and a run through 11 November 2017. Today, Buckland Theatre Company has announced casting for LUV, the company's second production at PARK90 at Park Theatre. Directed by Gary Condes, Nick Barber will play Milt, Elsie Bennett will play Ellen and Charles Dorfman will play Harry. Written by Murray Schisgal (best known for co-writing the screenplay for Tootsie), LUV premiered on Broadway in 1964 directed by Mike Nichols and was Tony nominated for Best Play and Best Author. LUV will play at PARK90 from 8 Decemberuntil 7 January with an official press night on 13 December.

Following their debut production Miss Julie, Buckland Theatre Company has today announced casting for Some Girl(s). Written by multi Tony Award nominated Neil LaBute, Some Girl(s) will be Buckland's first play in PARK90 at the Park Theatre, London which will be the company's home in 2016. Some Girl(s) will play 14 July - 6 August with a press night on 19 July.

Grassroots Shakespeare London have today announced the full cast for Twelfth Night, their first production as the resident company at Leicester Square Theatre.

MISS JULIE is currently running at Camden's Etcetera Theatre, taking over the space entirely for the duration of its four-week run. Grassroots Shakespeare have added an extra two weeks to their run of Twelfth Night at Leicester Square Theatre following popular demand. The show is part of the Shakespeare 400 celebrations.

Ellie Nunn, daughter of Shakespearean legend Sir Trevor Nunn, is making her West End Shakespeare debut in the role of Viola for Grassroots Shakespeare London as part of Shakespeare 400. The role was memorably played by her mother, Imogen Stubbs in the 1996 film directed by Sir Trevor.
