The White Buffalo (aka Jake Smith) has announced a second virtual concert in partnership with Cadenza. On April 5th, The White Buffalo and Cadenza partnered in one of the first paid, premium quality live stream experiences to happen in the wake of Covid-19. Due to the success of that first stream, a second performance has been scheduled for June 14.

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester have announced a new Shakespeare series which sees the Bard's beloved monologues reimagined to fit into modern day lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic. The series will release a new monologue every weekday to the Barn Theatre's Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts, beginning 20th April 2020.

Today, The White Buffalo (aka Jake Smith) released two new tracks off his forthcoming album On The Widow's Walk as a double A-Side. The new Shooter Jennings produced album is due out on April 17 via Snakefarm Records.  

On The Widow's Walk is the new studio album from The White Buffalo, the touring and recording persona of Jake Smith – US singer, songwriter, guitarist, teller of tales; the Emmy nominee whose voice – a timber-shakin' baritone of gravitas and gravel – seems fuelled by a greater truth.

On the heels of their acclaimed 2019 EP Context, Eye Flys have announced their debut full-length, Tub of Lard. Following the album's release, Eye Flys will be touring throughout Europe with Full of Hell and Primitive Man, including a set at Roadburn Festival. A band of considerable pedigree, including members of Full of Hell, Backslider, Triac, Eye Flys are fiercely precise, churning steel-barbed riffs and beefy inventive rhythms that are delivered with exponential force. On Tub of Lard, Eye Flys expand on their concise and punishing EP with 10 songs of maximum impact in their lean and focused raw power.

Following the release of their debut 12', Context, Eye Flys have announced a US tour with Torche throughout November. Eye Flys brings together the minds of four musicians known for their work in some of the most extreme, blistering bands today. The quartet was initially started by Full of Hell guitarist Spencer Hazard and former Backslider drummer Patrick Forrest as an outlet to play aggressive music with equal intensity that would contrast the breakneck speeds of their other projects. After asking Backslider bassist Jake Smith to join on guitar and vocals and Triac's Kevin Bernsten on bass, Eye Flys' potential for crafting impossibly heavy songs was solidified.

Following a tour with Multicult earlier this spring, Eye Flys have announced an east coast/midwest tour this August, as well as select dates with Daughters in June. Eye Flys will be releasing their debut 12' this fall.

American rock band Royal Bliss released a new single titled 'Pain' that impacted radio April 2, 2019. In support of the single, Royal Bliss will hit the road supporting Through Fire on the All Animal Tour. The tour will make 18 stops around the U.S. kicking off on May 12th in Denver, CO at The Oriental Theater and wrapping up June 1st in Atlanta, GA at The Masquerade (Hell). Tickets for the Canadian premiere of Sting's acclaimed musical The Last Ship will go on public sale Monday November 12. Presented by David Mirvish and produced by Karl Sydow and Kathryn Schenker, the limited six-week engagement runs February 9 through March 24, 2019 at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre.

I had the pleasure of seeing The Little Mermaid in the MTW 2011 Season, so I was really looking forward to seeing it again this season. I must say, it did not disappoint.
