Ensemble Studio Theatre and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation have announced new EST/Sloan Project commissions for the 2022-2023 season.

LAByrinth Theater Company will launch into its 30th Anniversary season with the return of The Barn Series 2023, an annual festival featuring a full roster of new plays, and Día Y Noche, a world premiere production written by David Anzuelo (Shared Sentences) and directed by Carlos Armesto (The Who’s Tommy).

Now in its ninth season of supporting emerging writers The Farm Theater has awarded their 2021/22 College Collaboration Project Commission to playwright Jake Brasch (Greenland at Dixon Place; Salutations, I'm Creative Dave at Alchemical Theatre Laboratory). Jake will collaborate with Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and Pellissippi State College in Knoxville, TN. Austin Peay is participating in The Farm Theater's College Collaboration Project for the first time. This will be Pellissippi State's second year, following their partnership in 2018-19.

Since 1998, the EST/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Science & Technology Project has developed hundreds of new plays that question and broaden the view of science in the popular imagination. Each play’s life onstage begins with the First Light Festival, an annual presentation of new readings, workshops and productions.

LAByrinth Theater Company has announced the selections for its 2021 Annual Barn Series, the award-winning company's developmental play reading series. This year's series features six new plays, five of which were written and directed by LAByrinth company members, along with an evening of six short plays from LAB's Intensive Ensemble.
