The New York Philharmonic is featured in 'The 5th,' a four-movement podcast miniseries exploring the music, context, and legacy of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Then titled Grand Symphony in C minor, the work was the very first that the Philharmonic performed, in 1842, marking the symphony's US Premiere.
HK Phil Concerts Change Amid Pandemic Uncertainties

Women Composers Commissions Announced

Composers Niloufar Iravani, Leanna Primiani, and Hilary Purrington will each receive orchestral commissions of $15,000 as part of the Women Composers Readings and Commissions program, an initiative of the League of American Orchestras, in partnership with American Composers Orchestra (ACO) and supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.
