Disney Channel has ordered a third season of the Emmy® Award-nominated animated 'Big Hero 6 The Series' ahead of the season two premiere, MONDAY, MAY 6 (3:30-4:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) on Disney Channel. New episodes will continue to roll out weekdays through May 17. Episodes will also be available the same day on DisneyNOW.

In celebration of International Women's Day, YouTube has unveiled a slate of female-focused programming including a new short film, “Brave Girl Rising,” written and performed by refugees, and a new animated series, “Sherwood” starring Anya Chalotra, Tyler Posey, Jamie Chung, Aneurin Barnard and guest starring Joseph Fiennes) which casts Robin Hood as a girl who uses code to right the wrongs of the world in the 23rd century. Additionally, YouTube today debuted the trailer and announced the premiere date for the highly-anticipated YouTube Original Special “If I Could Tell You Just One Thing.” Based on the best-selling book where award-winning actress Priyanka Chopra-Jonas meets three inspiring women from different worlds - Diane Von Furstenberg, Awkwafina, Simone Biles - to find out what they have learned from facing adversity, embracing their flaws, and how to find balance with traditional expectations. The special will premiere exclusively onPriyanka Chopra's YouTube Channel on March 27th.

NewFest 2018 Announces Full Lineup For Their 30th Anniversary

Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.

 NewFest has announced its Opening Night film to be Yen Tan's powerful AIDS drama '1985' on Wednesday, October 24th. This year will mark the highly significant 30th anniversary of NewFest, one of the world's most venerable and respected LGBT festivals. '1985' joins a history of notable NewFest Opening Night Films, including 'Go Fish' (1994), 'High Art' (1998), 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' (2001), 'But I'm a Cheerleader' (2000), and 'We Were Here' (2011). The film is a return to NewFest for Tan, whose previous films “Ciao” (2008) and “Pit Stop” (2013) have screened at the fest in the past.

Hosts, Presenters and Air Date Announced for 2018 American Humane Hero Dog Awards

Television and film star James Denton and model and animal advocate Beth Stern will return to host the 2018 American Humane Hero Dog Awards®, a star-studded annual celebration of heroes on both ends of the leash, honoring outstanding working dogs from around the country. The awards gala, sponsored by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation and Zoetis Petcare (a U.S. business unit of Zoetis), will also feature Danielle Fishel, Carrie Ann Inaba, Naomi Judd, Bailee Madison, Debbie Matenopoulos, Cameron Mathison, Brandon McMillan, Denise Richards and Alison Sweeney as presenters. Additional celebrity participants and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

2018 Lineup Announced for 30th Annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival

The Vancouver Queer Film Festival (VQFF) released today its complete lineup for the 11-day celebration, taking place August 9-19, which includes artists visiting from India, Philippines, United States, and Canada. More than 70 films from 15 countries are featured at this 30th anniversary Festival presented by RBC, along with 11 visiting filmmakers, 27 local directors and numerous local performing artists, in addition to parties and talkback sessions. Wolfe Releasing Acquires Yen Tan's Emotional Family Drama 1985

Wolfe Releasing has announced today that it has acquired writer director Yen Tan's 1985, starring Cory Michael Smith (FOX's 'Gotham'), Academy Award nominee Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Michael Chiklis ('The Shield') and Jamie Chung (FOX's 'The Gifted' and ABC's 'Once Upon a Time'), for a theatrical release this October. Utah Film Center Celebrates 15 Years of DAMN THESE HEELS

Utah Film Center announced today the films selected for the 15th annual Damn These Heels Film Festival and new elements to the festival for film lovers, filmmakers and all storytellers. Damn These Heels will run July 20 - 22, 2018 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center and is a festival for all that explores LGBTQ issues, ideas, and art through independent, documentary, and foreign films from around the world. Passes and tickets are now on sale on the Utah Film Center's website. Additional titles will be announced on the website leading up to the Festival.

Out On Screen is proud to present the 30th annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival (VQFF) this summer from Thursday, August 9th to Sunday, August 19th. Welcoming its 30th anniversary presenting sponsor, RBC, this year's Festival will take place at various theatres, including the Vancouver Playhouse, Cineplex Odeon International Village, SFU's Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, VIFF Vancity Theatre, and the York Theatre. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, VQFF is pleased to announce a birthday party for the community on June 2nd at the Imperial along with its Festival theme “To the moon and back, 30 years of uplifting queer stories”.
