Disney+ announced today that “Godmothered,” an all-new enchanted Christmas comedy starring Isla Fisher (“Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “Wedding Crashers”) and Jillian Bell (“Brittany Runs a Marathon,” “Rough Night”) will debut exclusively on the streaming service Friday, December 4, 2020.

Skydance Media today announced that Bill Bost has been promoted to President of Skydance Television. In this elevated role, the nine-year studio veteran is now responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Television department and the studio's expansive slate of series across all broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.

The film is produced by Justin Springer (“Dumbo,” “TRON: Legacy”), with Ivan Reitman (“Ghostbusters”), Tom Pollock (the upcoming “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”), Amie Karp (the upcoming “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) and Diane L. Sabatini (“Lady and the Tramp”) serving as executive producers.

The Alabama Symphony Orchestra recently conjured the Ghostbusters incredible music by Elmer Bernstein. They crossed the streams, making a musical walk down memory lane much more magical. Everyone was entranced as the live music faced the scary sweetness of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd will reprise his role from the original films in Ghostbusters 2020.

Freeform announced today that it will air “31 Nights of Halloween Fan Fest,” an all-star party in celebration of Halloween classics like “Hocus Pocus” and “The Addams Family,” plus a 35th anniversary tribute to “Ghostbusters” and a 50th anniversary tribute to “The Haunted Mansion.” The 90-minute special, filming at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery on THURSDAY, SEPT. 12, will premiere on SATURDAY, OCT. 5, at 8:00 PM EDT/PDT as part of Freeform's “31 Nights of Halloween” programming event.

Paul Rudd is in final talks to join the cast of Sony's latest installment of “Ghostbusters,' according to Variety. It is rumored he will play a teacher in the film.

 Annapurna TV has hired Patrick Chu as the division's new SVP.  Previously Chu served as a Drama, Production and Development executive at Amazon, where he oversaw the TV adaptations of HANNA and THE HUNT. Prior to Amazon, Chu served as Vice President of Production & Acquisitions at FilmNation, where he produced KILL SWITCH and executive produced MISS SLOANE. He was also responsible for bringing projects into the company such as LIFE ITSELF and ARRIVAL. Chu started his career as an assistant at William Morris Endeavor and also served as an executive at Ivan Reitman's The Montecito Picture Company. Reporting to President of APTV, Sue Naegle, Chu will be responsible for developing and producing new television projects for Annapurna TV, with a focus on dramas. 

Jason Reitman is set to direct the next Ghostbusters film for Sony, according to Deadline. He's carrying on the legacy as the son of the original Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman.
