Utah Symphony Announces Zion Bank MUSIC IN FILM Concert Series As Part Of The 2018-19 Season

Building upon the overwhelming audience appetite for film screenings coupled with live orchestra playing the score, the Utah Symphony announced its Zions Bank Films in Concert series in the 2018-19 season featuring five orchestra presentations paired with blockbuster and award-winning motion pictures on the big screen at Abravanel Hall. Packages for the Films in Concert series go on sale February 8, 2018 at 10 AM via www.utahsymphony.org and (801) 533-6683. Single tickets for each film start at $29 and go on sale at varied intervals throughout the year.

New York Film Critics Series And NJPAC Celebrates 40th Anniversary Of National Lampoon's Classic Film, Animal House

New York Film Critics Series (NYFCS) in a special partnership with New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) will present a unique movie experience celebrating the 40th Anniversary of National Lampoon's Animal House on Friday February 16th, 2018 at 8pm. The iconic Animal House movie starring John Belushi, Tim Matheson , Peter Riegert, Karen Allen, Thomas Hulce, Stephen Furst, and Donald Sutherland which is a direct spin-off from National Lampoon about a misfit group of fraternity members who challenge the authority of the dean of Faber College.

TIFF Teams with China Film Archive to Bring Canadian Films to Beijing

TIFF is bringing a collection of classic and contemporary Canadian films to Beijing, in partnership with the China Film Archive. The CFA will present Canada's Ten Best: New Cinema From the North, running from November 3 to 12. It will showcase a selection of Canada's leading films, programmed in association with TIFF, including several highlighted in TIFF's annual Canada's Top Ten Film Festival, as well as a selection of retrospective titles from TIFF's Canada on Screen sesquicentennial series. Telefilm Canada and the Embassy of Canada in China are also partners on this unique showcase of Canadian films.

The McCallum Theatre presents Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends in New Worlds on Saturday, October 7, at 8:00pm. Bill Murray became friends with cellist Jan Vogler in New York. Curious about each other's artistic world and interests, they decided to work together on New Worlds, a project that showcases the core of American values in literature and music. Along with Mira Wang (violin) and Vanessa Perez (piano), Bill Murray and virtuoso cellist Jan Vogler perform a program that celebrates Bill's love for classical music and the strong artistic voices that have influenced generations of artists.
