Hoy sábado 29 de enero, el Teatro Lope de Vega de Madrid ha acogido las audiciones infantiles para el musical El Rey León, cuyo estreno tendrá lugar el próximo otoño. Cerca de 80 niños y niñas han asistido al casting con la esperanza de acabar convirtiéndose en los jóvenes cachorros Simba y Nala.

Disney's The Lion King, playing at the Durham Performing Arts Center through January 30, is theatrical storytelling at its most spectacular. Take a familiar father/son story that borrows heavily from Shakespeare, the Greeks, and the Bible. Add incredible, near unimaginable, artistry - puppets, masks, glorious costumes and scenery. Mix in a heavy dose of humor and catchy, familiar music. The Triangle's most eagerly awaited stage production will begin performances at DPAC on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 for a limited engagement of 4 weeks through Sunday, January 30, 2011. The opening night is Thursday, January 6 at 7:30pm.

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce the return of Disney's THE LION KING for a six-week engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.) beginning September 29, 2010. Disney's THE LION KING has been confirmed for an exclusive four-week limited premiere engagement at Place des Arts in Montreal beginning Tuesday, August 9, with performances playing through Sunday, September 4, 2011. Opening night is set for Thursday, August 11.
