Harris Theater Announces 2018-19 Chamber Music Society Series

Last night, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center artist Sean Lee announced the ensemble's upcoming season at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance from the Elizabeth Morse Genius Stage. The 2018-19 series will mark the eighth year of CMS's ongoing residency in Chicago.

Norfolk & Norwich Festival has today announced the full programme for its 2018 Festival (11 - 27 May). The programme, which spans performance, theatre, music, visual arts, literature, circus, outdoor and family events, includes world and UK premieres, one-off spectaculars, and a host of free events across the Festival. The Festival will showcase renowned international artists from across the globe and countries as widespread as Syria, Australia and India, alongside the best local Norfolk and UK talent presented across the county, from Norwich city centre and Great Yarmouth to Wells-next-the-Sea.

Hip Hop Legend Chuck D Announces First Solo Art Exhibition

Gallery 30 South, Pasadena's popular gallery for internationally renowned artists has announced the first-ever solo art exhibition of multiple Platinum recording artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Chuck D from Public Enemy and Prophets of Rage. The exhibition titled "Behind the Seen" features some of Chuck D's most prolific artwork to date. The exhibit opens Sunday, March 4, 2018 and runs through the month. Chuck D will appear at Gallery 30 South on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. to meet and greet patrons and collectors. Gallery 30 South is located at 30 S. Wilson Avenue, Pasadena,  California, 91106. The hours for the gallery are Wednesday-Friday 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 12 Noon - 6:00 p.m.

The French archipelago of Guadeloupe welcomes its first edition of the SAINT-GEORGES International Music Festival from Friday, March 2 through Sunday, March 4. The festival celebrates the musical heritage of Saint-Georges, a historical Guadeloupean figure of the French Revolution; a series of spectacular classical music and Opera concerts will take place all across the butterfly-shaped islands. Highlights of the festival include 'A Night of French Opera' at the Saint Pierre & Saint Paul Cathedral in Pointe--Ptre, one of Guadeloupe's landmarks.

Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College (MOADMDC) will present Disorganizing Mimesis, a lecture-performance by members of the award-winning cutting-edge Mexican theater collective Teatro Ojo. In Disorganizing Mimesis, two of Teatro Ojo's founding members, Hector Bourges and Patricio Villareal, give an immersive introduction to one of Mexico's most avant-garde theatrical companies, while taking their audience on an idiosyncratic and twisting tour of Mexican history itself.
