New St. Patrick's Day Show Sparks Dance Craze For Kids

Do not worry grown ups. The tapping and stomping you hear you hear is not wild horses or the latest zombie apocalypse. It is the sound of happy little feet dancing to the Shamrock Beat at FunikiJam' s SHENANIGANS: Celebration of Ireland! What's more? The latest dance craze to hit the five and under set is just in time for St. Patrick's Day so bring the kids and get your (Sham) 'Rock on!

From March 4 - 24, the innovative classes, live shows, & parties for newborn & up will play 50 weekly programs at 20 NYC venues plus Off Broadway at the Actor's Temple Theatre. "FunikiJam's SHENANIGANS: celebration of Ireland!" is written by and starring family-music-guru, Brian Barrentine as Captain Jam with Italian-American actor Andrea Galata, South American songbird Victoria Raigorodsky, Helen Hayes Best actor nominee Juan Espinal as the Agents of Jam. Young dancers from Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance guest star as the Junior Agents of Ireland.

When the Agents of Jam embark on a special mission to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, they discover a lively mix of songs & stories that put a fun spin on leprechauns, banshees, rainbows, and lucky pots of gold. Even grown-ups will be laughing, clapping, and playing along with FunikiJam's cast of International Artists as they dance and sing to the Shamrock Beat.

FunikiJam's Off-Broadway Family Musicals are interactive, high energy shows that engage all ages with music, singing, dancing, storytelling, spectacle and audience participation.

FunikiJam's Weekly Programs are the interactive classroom version of the popular stage shows. Led by solo FunikiJam teaching artists who play and sing live and with recorded music, even the youngest jammers are engaged in learning and fun with lots of instrument /prop play, dance parties, jam sessions, and a colorful parachute finale.
